Challenge for the 10th ~ Var V Morn~ Results

On the eve of Friday, the 25th day of the 6th month at the hour of Midnight, did I, Mystik Talesedrin, official of the Duel of Swords witness and officiate the challenge of Warlord Var Medici-Giovanni offered to Baron of the 10th Morn'lythe shena Jor'ethan for the honor and right to wear the 10th Baronial ring.

The Warlord professed his desire to challenge for the right to the 10th, as did The Baron to defend. Both entered the ring of Legends with honor to face this test of honor, skills and blades.

The Warlord Medici-Giovanni duelled under the colors of the Medici-Giovanni family; metallic silver blades colliding over the ocean blue. His Lady of Honor was his dear wife, the Lady Noelle Medici-Giovanni . His second was his first born son, whom he loves dearly, Noble Morgan Medici-Giovanni . He wielded the rapier "Fallen Crew" in memory of dear friends who have passed on.

The Baron Jor'ethan duelled under his banner ,that of four black intertwining crescent moons set on a blood red field. His blade was the cursed ebon scimitar Cthulhu. His Lady of Honor was his dear wife Lady Aiya Salem Jor'ethan.The Baron duelled with no second at his side.

The traditions formalized, the gentlemen set about a finely fought challenge for the 10th Baronial ring.
Round 1 ~ The Warlord steps forward, a reach to the Baron's ankle, but finds his blade turned aside by the fancily turned Circular Parry of the blade welded by the Baron!

Round 2~ Baron Morn smoothly steps up, his cursed blade reaching for the Warlord's chest, but a fancy flick of the wrist, Warlord Var's Lat Parry denies the Baron!

Round 3~ The Baron looks to fancily Step aside, but is stopped in mid dance by the warlord's blade flashing out at his ankle!

Round 4~ Baron Morn tries to duplicate the Warlord's success with a Low strike, but finds a fancy flick and a Circ Parry denies him the blow!

Round 5~ The Baron turns a Fancy Lat Parry, the Warlord drops into a fine Stop Hit, but alas, no point for either!

Round 6~ The Baron's cursed blade flashes out, reaching Low, but the step does nothing but bring him straight into the Warlord's Thrust to the chest!

Round 7~The Baron is light on his feet, his Fancy Duck a sight to behold, but it's not completed as the Warlord's blade flashes from hip to ribs in a Slash to take the point!

Thus did the Warlord Var Medici-Giovanni claim the right to the 10th ring, becoming the first duelist to hold the same Baronial ring for the fourth time.

A well and honorably fought challenge by both the new Baron and the former Baron Morn'lythe shena Jor'ethan. The new Baron immediately declared himself Loyal to the Overlord Unagi.
