Friends,
I come before you today for a couple of reasons. Namely is the decision regarding the ring that I recently discovered I still hold. As Ecore suggested, I lost to him in the match, but of course that match should have never taken place since he used a PW which at that time was factually proven to be invalid. Therefore, the challenge should have been ruled invalid as well.
Another reason I come before the Council, is the subject of giving me the
ring back. Even if the match had little weight as to who would become Baron of the Seventh or not, Elijah and I fought as though it was. Giving me the ring back would just seem like I had not worked for it. I do not want to be seen as someone who doesn't fight for their title. I earned the title, and now it seems as though some would view that I don't deserve it after I lost to E. Therefore if the deliberation over this matter continues, and I pray
that it does, I request that a champion be chosen to Test my Worthiness for the right to bear the Seventh.
Should my request be granted I shall have no regrets..but as some may know I am currently away in my homeland of Dragonia, therefore I ask that if a decision regarding a Test is passed then the match be suspended for awhile. I also ask that my duties as Baron be suspended until the time when I can reclaim the ring and hopefully fight to defend it. I know Sir Evermeadow can grant these last few requests..so I am asking that if the decision is passed,
the match be suspended along with my duties and Title for at least a couple of weeks. If these cannot be granted, then I shall deal with it as soon as I can.

Daelin,
These are fine, brave, and eminently honourable words. Your courage and your honour both do you tremendous credit, swordbrother.

Patrons,
I'm glad to see this honorable request made by Daelin. My line of thinking in our Council's debate was the same as it seems Daelin's is. I thought that although the challenge was invalid, the match was fought as a match with the Seventh on the line. I had hoped at the time that Daelin would not have wished to simply have his ring returned, but would rather be given a chance to prove his worth of holding it. I'm glad to now know that he does.
Although we've already made a decision by majority, I will be the first to say that, with this new information of Daelin's thoughts on the manner, I would like to see Lord Evermeadow allow the Council to reconsider our decision. That is all.
