Dear Sweet Lady Angel,

SSo what can I tell you,
If life's the length of this play,
Perhaps God gave the answers,
To those with nothing to say,
If the years are forgiving,
And Gods forgiving and kind,
Perhaps we'll all find the answers,
Somewhere in time,

I been changing, redefining,
All the things I thought I knew so long ago,
I was flying,
Through the years that seem so far away,

In the back of a region,
In the back of my mind,
Trying to pile up the seasons,
That I traded for time,
I been grasping at rainbows,
Hanging on till the end,
But the rain is so real Lord,
And the rainbows pretend,

I been changing, redefining,
All the things I thought I knew so long ago,
I was flying
Through the years that seem so far away,

music and lyrics by Savatage

Dos hath now have a small taste of the Barons thoughts as they post upon this ? Judgemental Cork Twould seem, MLady, that thou tempt the fates by allowing these Barons of the Duels to show their Arses. I trust that your footsteps will fall on hardened ground and make a wise decision to your chosen career within the walls of the Arena.

Aggy

Tis positively amusin' that thee wouldst stand forth, in that tis thee be the one what made offer ta purchase the enslaved Baroness. Perhaps tis the only way thee canst git anna female company, eh? Tis rather amusing thee claim the ability ta be able ta read, an e'en more amusing that thee wouldst attribute thine most outstanding trait, that of crying, unto me. Tis quite obvious thee know verra little of me, laddie buck. Tis mine earnest 'ope
thee dinna procreate, though tis verra likely t'would take a lass what hae hae a lobotomy, be blind, deaf an' dumb, an' more likely purchased for thee ta hae such company.

Though claimest the Baroness istna allowed ta do annathin' agin 'er master's wishes? Och, a weak willed lass what then fears pain or be it that she endures her enslavement willingly? Each hae a choice, Aggy, an' the Baroness hast shown her willingness ta chose that of deceit an' perfidy ast well ast ta accept debasement an' enslavement rather th' pain.

Madame Elgarette,

Tis nae a mark of valor ta stand silent e'en knowin' 'o th' danger presented by the one thee dost name ast Kahn Jorah. Madame Ashleana wast warned to guard herself an' 'er friends an' didst nae do so. Thee ast well were nae present when she didst present herself ast quite healthy upon th' afternoon she didst meet an' speak with mineself ast well ast th' Baron an' didst meet th' Baron th' verra same eve. The Baroness purports to honor the history
of the Third Ring by nae forfeitin' it. Yet she herself didst forfeit her honor by her perfidious deceit and dost continue to dishonor th' Third Ring. The Baroness holds herself verra high in nae retiring the ring ast well. Manna an 'onorable Baron hast set aside a ring. I call forth the reminder that the former Baron Ajaybird himself, for reasons of health, didst retire his ring, thereby leaving an empty seat upon the Council. The Council
survived. She ist indeed an abject coward, holding herself above the 'law' of the community. Such corruption ist a blight upon the honor of the Third ast well ast upon the verra honor of th' duels.

Jonalyn~

If you feel she is such a blight upon the community, you are free to learn from Seamus' example and take the ring from her. At least when he thought that Dal was bad for the community (I personally disagree, but that's besides the point I'm trying to make), he did something about it, like try to take his position away from him. Simply complaining incessantly isn't doing anything but aggrivating people.

As to your comment to Aggy, it is simple enough for even a child to understand why he wished to buy Jaycy from the bastard that has her. I don't agree with what he offered up, but I do believe that he meant to set her free once he "owned" her.

Sidartha,

I am truely disappointed ye too have stooped ta "If you don't like a baron, challenge". How simplistic it is ta adopt a might makes right mentality. I have a clearer understanding of why ye so adamantly support Elijah in all dat he does, perhaps it is because ye two are of a like mind.

Jonalyn cannot challenge a baron or overlord any easier dan ya can. If you had a problem with me, how fair would it be ta say "Sid, if you don't like me, challenge, otherwise shut up". *You* can't challenge a baron, and you'd be very upset if *you* were told ta shut up so hows about you take a good look in da mirror before ya go givin' out advice, hmm?

Madame Elgarette

Tis interesting thee wouldst seem to hold with the purchasing of personages. Most enlightened realms ast well ast most enlightened folk, dinna hold with slavery in anna form, for anna reason. Tis perhaps that ist too much 'o fer yuir intelligence ta grasp. Thine attempt to justify thine specious claims with utterly nonsensical statements speaks merely of thine feeble mindedness.

Jeffrey~

I am not talking about her feelings about Jaycy as a human being. It is her comments on Jaycy's tenure as Baroness that I was talking about. I am simply saying that complaining about it constantly isn't going to change anything. No matter how much Jonalyn complains, it's not going to remove that ring from Jaycy's finger. At this point, there is only one thing that can, and I was pointing it out to her.

I do love cheap attacks.

Like the only way you'll ever recieve female companionship.

But let's ignore that. I'm going to go out and buy me one of those electric shock slave necklaces and stuff it around your waist, then I'll get the pleasure of seeing wether or not you, Jony Baby, Sweet Cheeks of Hardened Meat, would rather take the pain of consistant electric shocks rather than cleaning my house, and my house is small and clean.

I shouldn't of said that, you could always use that one for another cheap attack.

Or better yet! We could cap your teeth with little micro electric shock implants. That way, whenever you attempt to talk or cry, it'll shoot this sizzling beam of energy into your gums, causing them to bleed and weaken. So your only excape is to cry for so long that your teeth would fall out, turning you from Sweet Cheeks to Old Sags.

Think of how many more places we could go with this... then we implant your tongue, causing it to swell a bit more every time it stiffens because you're about to lash back with another cheap insult. If you do it too many times, your tongue exploses.

Then... your nose. We could put little claws in there that would strech out your nostrils each time you tried to snort because you were tired of taking orders, until the outside nostrils rip apart and cuts out a hole in the cartiledge in the middle of your nose.

Then similar tortures, for your eyes, ears, hair, stomach, female anatamy and... similar private areas until you become a physical wreck, incapable of anything except to follow orders, as I intended in the first place, cleaning my house wouldn't be the difficult.

It's easy to cry cowardice when you're not the one on trial.

Loser.

Jonalyn~

Aparantly you are unable to debate points and choose to fall back to the typical line of personal attacks. One would think that someone who flaunts her intelligence as much as you do would be able to stick to the subject, rather than make baseless accusations and insults. And, since you are so curious, my mind and my intelligence are fully intact, thank you.

As far as I've seen, I haven't noticed you doing anything to remove such slavery as the one Jaycynda is under. I have yet to even see you do anything at all but look down your nose at her. If you didn't already know, that collar can kill her should someone attempt to remove the collar. Buying her freedom seems to me to have been a way to remove her from slavery that is less likely to kill her in the process.

Simply put...

Jonalyn knows many people, and holds much influence. She need not challenge, just ask others to challenge.
As for Slavery...
It is not something permitted within the Grand Duchy of Haaristad, but it is permitted within the borders of the Empire of Rhyshek, my neighbor to the east. As a person, I find the practice abhorrant... as a Duchess, I find that I must accept the practice when ambassadors from the Empire come to my land.
When I see Slavers here in RhyDin, I am again struck by the realization that I cannot slay outright those I do not agree with... I am again struck by the realization that I cannot push my morals upon others without cause.
Certainly, we might find Slavery to be wrong... but we must deal with it where we have right and just cause.

What does each ring mean to you?

This is a good question. When I first started off here in the duels I was horrible. It took me a few cycles just to move up from commoner. I said all along I had no desire to challenge for a ring. Then I started reading the cork, I slowly become aware of the politics and tradition of the arena and this sport. At first I wanted to gain a ring to leave my "mark" on the histories. I stopped myself from challenging a few times because I thought this the
wrong reason to hold a ring. I entered a WL tourney and came in third. I was lucky enough to hold one of the rings just created, with little history. Thus my "mark" was made, but not for that reason. Sorry I'm long winded. The ring to me, has grown to mean much...It is much more then a piece of jewelry on my finger. I am an ambassador of the Duel of Swords, I help make choices that will effect people to come long after I am gone, as well as effect
them now. To me this ring means that I am making a difference.

What is your interpretation of a challenge?

It has been said before, but I will repeat it. Each challenge is different and unique. My first challenge was agasint a man that wanted nothing more then to use my ring as a stepping stone to gain the Overlordship. I was one of the newer Baron's. Green if you will. I looked to be an easy target I guess. Each duel though is different, each challenge I meet the same way, or try to , with honor and dingity for the challenger. I also pray like the
dickens that I win.

Do you all look at a challenge the same way?

I can answer this simply. No we don't.

Can't one challenge just for the skill and honor?

Sure, but why not just duel the person during a regualr night? I know before I held this ring, I challenged a few Baron's and the Overlord at the time on regualr nights a few times to test my skill, I didn't have to challenge anyone for that reason, but if that is what the challenger wishes to do, then it is up to him or her.

I've sat here for the past 25 mins. and gone through this stack of insults. Thank the gods I put my response up first. Someone comes to this cork looking for some information from the Baron's and you people resort to attakcing and turning this thread into another soap box of crap.

Jona, the matter of Jaycy's ring was settled long ago. Some agree and some disagree with the choice that was made. It's over, let it go.

Cyggy, you appear here again out of the blue, and tell us that you don't think the Council of Baron's should decide a person's fate. You seem to just pop up every once in a blue moon and cause some trouble and then disappear again. Why bother doing that now? At least Jona is constant in being here and stuff. The council was created for a reason, some people don't like the council, because a decsion was made not in their favor at some time or
other..like...Ecore.

Ecore...aw hell, responding to you is a mistake. It's just plain boring now.

Good Baron Stonecutter,

I would think my opinion and time spent in the realm is no more or no less of a concern than anyone elses time spent here sharing an opinion.

As to causing trouble, I would wonder since when an opinion shared on the common cork of the arena is trouble for some but not others? I take a moment to say that I shall come and go as I please, so forgive me Baron if that crosses you in any fashion.

Madame Elgarette

Since thee werena present thee certes hae nae anna idea wh' I may or may nae hae attempted ta free Madame Ashleana 'o her master. Madame, thee may claim thine mind an' intelligence ist intact, but thine jottings do show elsewise.

Westridge an' the Provinces be free of slavery an' were anna such heinous perversion ast a slaver ta cross th' borders rest assured the King's Justice ist swift and final.

Aggy,

Laddie buck, thee aire bu' a child in thine sense of wh' thee consider pain an' torture. Howe'er, tis well thee wouldst apprise th' community 'o thine mindset. I mus' say I find it utterly enlightening ast perhaps shall various warlords an' Barons, an' certes th' Overlord.

Baron Gimzak Stonecutter

Tis thine dwarven tenacity which I do mos' admire, yet, thee hae more oft struck me, though gruff, ast one 'o honor. The Baron's Council indeed wast created ta adjudicate matters set before it. Th' verra fact th' th' former Supervisor, Madame Helix Girvin, didst tamper wi' a challenge wherein she hae nae th' right ta dost continue ast a blight upon th' community an' th' Third Ring. Ast well, dost th' seemin' tamperin' wi' th' challenge process by'
Madame Silvertree in th' matter 'o th' warlord Goldie's challenge unta th' Baron Magnus Eques which seems ta hae begun ta hae some light shed upon it. Further inquiry inta th' matter be ongoing. Th' recent issue 'o th' warlord Ecore's challenge unta th' Baron Daelin being set afore th' Council speaks 'ighly 'o Master Evermeadow in th' he chose ta' lay th' matter afore th' Council ast soon ast th' circumstances were brought ta th' fore. Such canna
be said 'o Madame Helix Girvin's 'andlin' 'o th' matter 'o th' improper challenge 'o Madame Ashleana.

Cyggie,

I don't know who your trying to fool with a statement like "I would think my opinion and time spent in the realm is no more or no less of a concern than anyone elses time spent here sharing an opinion." It is exactly a concern, considering your sorry fat ugly arse hasn't been in a ring in ages if ever I think. You don't represent crap when it comes to
this community and those in it as far as I am concerned and many others are concerned. I would even consider Jonalyn's views worth more than yours, and that's cause she actually sits at the bar. I may not like Jonalyn judging others who try for title and make a dueling career though she doesn't try it herself, but at least she sits at the bar in the Arena and interacts with the community.

I haven't seen your sorry fat ugly arse in the Arena or Annex in ages, the only reason anyone knows you even exist is because of the tripe you plaster on this board. While alot of people may not like what I have to say or how I say it, at least I am an actual active dueler voicing conern about the things that happen to me and others who do similar as me.

What has your sorry fat ugly arse done around here Cyggie besides pass judgement, comment, and stick your nose into people's business's of a community you aren't even apart of? While I am not the most popular guy, and probably liked even less, at least I have some validity to having a voice whether anyone wants to listen to it or not. You have nothing, you are nothing, and you words on this board mean nothing, so why don't
you go somewhere else and be an annoying nagging twisted psycho wench somewhere else.
