Agrenish,
Over the last few days I have had the amusment of listening to you spout off about how you may not be the most pleasent individual to be around, but at least you tell the "truth". You have taken the opportunity to lecture to everyone who reads this cork, that you tell people like it is and if they don't like to hear the "truth" then to bad for them.
Well sir, the simplist truth there is, is the truth to oneself and sir, it seems with your deciding to toss away the title because some warlords wish to challenge your reign, you cannot even be "true" to yourself. You see sir, only cowards run and hide and I while I do see this as a more realistic vision of how you would reign as Overlord, I also see it as a failing to the one virtue you seemed to hold up as why you would be a good Overlord.
Yes, "truth", hard to hide from, hard to manipulate when such a strong character as yourself has taken it down from the mantel and stood upon it as a pedestal to hold himself higher than those around him. Yet you could not even remain truthful to yourself and the ideals that you so boldly tossed at us after winning the crown from an honorable man.
Yet, before I regress into rambling, I will now leave it to history to record the "truth" about Agrenish Prescott and how he turned and ran from those who would challenge him instead of standing up and fighting for his "truth".

Boy, you are one incompitent, unseeing, unknowing weasel. Do you not even have the valid comprehension that I had this planned out since before I mentioned to Unagi that there was a possibility that I was going to challenge him?
I've been homesick for ages, but I didn't want to leave this place with grown men with boys minds, like yourself for instance, no insult intended, thinking that you all had gotten the best of me.
Basic knowings...
I challenged for the crown
I won the crown
I retired the crown
What you fail to see is everything underneath. Since you can't see past the half tip of your pointed nose, it is clear that you have made a mere assumption that I am running from you and everyone else who stood in like, waiting and wanting like rabid dogs at a fence who all see a rabbit at the other side, waiting for your masters to allow you to chase after the rabbit.
You all are rabid dogs, but I ain't no rabbit. You see Valmion, this is what I wanted and you can't precieve that for some odd reason. You think that a couple of Warlords standing in line scared me away from a title and the ranks of the Duel of Swords, you must be joking. I just didn't want to give one of them the satisfaction of winning.
Call me a coward again, please. You'll still be wrong. You say I go against my pricaples, you havn't the slightest understanding of how they work. Say I'm going against my virtues again. You're still wrong.
You know, you really make me sad. Truly do. Standing here before everybody and shouting out things you don't know about me.
The truth is, you don't know me well enough to insult me.
You don't know me well enough so when you do so, you make me sad.

Aggy
T'would seem ta me th' rather than thee nae wishin' ta give annaone th' so called satisfaction 'o winnin' thee hast fled inta obscurity rather th' lose. Tis now none canst say they bested thee fer th' crown an' mantle. Yet thee ast well canna say thee defended thineself, th' crown an mantle.
Tis fer one wh' claims nae ta be a rabbit, thee certes didst turn tail an' flee right swiftly. Thee hae th' dubious distinction 'o reignin' th' shortest length' o time, ast well ast becomin' th' third Overlord ta retire th' title, crown an' mantle. Th' Overlord, Vernick, didst retire ast a matter 'o 'onor forein slurs were cast upon 'is ladywife's reputation. Gnimish Gnimoi didst retire forein 'e couldna seem ta 'andle th' pressures placed upon
'im. Thou chose ta flee in th' face 'o criticism, nae e'en liftin' blade ta defend wh' thee dost claim ta 'old ast thine own truth. What marks a coward, laddie buck, be 'is actions in th' face 'o adversity.
T'would seem th' only 'boy' here be thee, Aggy, a boy tryin' ta conceal 'imself in th' trappin's 'o a man. Tis thee an' thee alone wh' dishonor thineself, th' title, th' duels an' th' spirit 'o all th' hae gone afore. Rest well in thine disgrace, Aggy, for thine name shall be bu' a jottin' in th' dust 'o 'istory.
Basic knowin's.
Thee challenged fer th' crown. The Overlord Unagi Miyamoto didst go out 'o 'is way ta accomodate thine seemin' inability ta meet 'im more th' once. Thee were championed by th' Baron Verceterix Favre, a gentleman 'o principle an' 'onor wh' set th' stage fer thee ta meet Unagi Miyamoto. Indeed, thine champion didst declare himself loyal unta thee.
Thee didst indeed best th' Eel by dint 'o thine blade.
Thee didst flee ast a rabbit eschewin' e'en ta stand upon thine own principles. Methinks, laddie buck, thee hae done one thing 'o note. Thee no longer sully th' title, th' crown, th' mantle, nor th' spirit 'o the duels. Tis th' be thine one virtue. For th' an' th' alone, thee hae mine thanks.

Aggy,
I can understand your reasons, it was my mistake to think you would have stuck around to cause some chaos. Well I find it annoying your retiring of a crown you won free and clear with problems for those reasons, it is your perogative. And not to stay around long enough to see if you eve defend it once. In my opinion you were never Overlord. You have earned and retired the crown legally before the Standings have come out stating either. Not one
challenge did you face to test your worth. Your the first Non-Overlord, IMHO.
Rest assured I would find great glory in becoming Overlord and aligning all the Barons Renegade and see how long I could fend you all off without the use of Intercessions. The more the merrier, and if I even defend it once, I would be happy with my reign.
Not wanting to give someone the satisfaction to me seems like a justification for cowardice. You want your cake and eat too, and have your own selfish desires, fine. It's your earned right, and we have to live with it, and so does the history of the sport.
Next time why don't you drop your pants in the ring and squat and let loose how you really feel about this community and the rings. That's basically the impression I see.

A small parchment is left upon the cork, unsigned and addressed to no one.
Abdication of a Crown is often criticized by those whose honorable high ground is merely part of the popular mass's delusional perch, built of insults and slander. Sometimes the point of an action is lost on those who see not the forest thru the trees as they wander lost in the woods themselves.

"Unto Thine ownself be true"
"My dears, the Overlord apparently has accomplished what he set out to do. And that was insult the sport and the crown with his actions."
Can't help but laugh as his biggest supporter turns on him. So rich.
"Some have proclaimed that people are uptight and stuck up. Yet now it seems you have brought out his true colors. My dear, I think you have done an accomplishment. Some were happy riding on your coat tails and you ended the free ride. Seems a shame that the Better Barons are bowing out. But at least they are true to themselves."
The perverse little daemoness walks out laughing. Will she return, well not anytime soon.

Least when there are insults and slander, people have the guts to sign their name. Funny how society is so evil for insults when you (the author of this gutless post) insulted the community.
Yeah, sometimes we're "lost in the woods." Other times, people just think others are idiots. You get the dubious honor of actually being the head of this group. Congratulations, nameless one.
However, I think I'll leave the actual insulting to Billy or Jona. They do a good job helping the uneducated.

I honestly can't find fault in what Aggy did accept for the choices for overlord we have left. I personally felt totally pleased when Jesse retired his barons ring the second he won it. Both of them make me proud for the simple fact that if I had planned it that way I would have done the same damn thing with a smile on my face.
As I said though, I just wish we had more competent barons so we could be sure we'd get a decent overlord.

You know Billy...
You just reminded me of another reason I like you so much.
Still, I'm angry at Aggy... He made me re-write the Standings, and now I've got to deal with all this Baron's Tourney stuff.
I hope Golden's heard from Unagi though... Last I heard, Aggy had the crown sent to Unagi, and I haven't seen it since.
