Andy hobbles down the stairs, her leg a little stiff from the events of the day before. Peering at the listed missives for the day, she finds one that fills her with disgust.

Lips contorted in a sneer, she snarls, and spits on the floor at her feet. With a shake of her head, she goes on with the other missives, muttering darkly to herself.

"Strength be t' th' Baron. Kick some arse."

This is yet another prime example that no matter how far mankind has evolved, there are still certain members of the species who have failed to rise up to the level of the lower primates when it comes to intelligence. Bravo to Methous, who continues to climb to new plateaus of mental incompetence, which many of us could never even reach in our nightmares. We salute you, sir.

respectfully (not actually for the slower among you),

JT

P.S: If you're gonna try to be tough, don't be a tool and use words like "respectfully" at the end of the post. Unless of course "shut up" is a term saved for those you hold in the highest regard.

Meth,
If picking up a blade and winning in the ring gives one the right to speak, then I would have shut up a long time ago. The Duel of Swords is a community participating in a sport; it is not a judge which says who is right or wrong.
When you say "might makes right" you are implying it's okay for someone to kill others ruthlessly as long as he can beat people in the ring. In your heart are your morals, in your gut and mind are your skills.

Flipping through the posts, shaking her head. Sits to pen a note

Just out of curiousity, I am wondering how this has gone from a honorable challenge by Eros to Jeff and degenerated into this. Both Jeff and Eros are great swordsmen and, in my opinion, this is an insult to both.

Duel well and honorably Jeff.
And to my beloved husband, Honor and skill my love. My pride in your skills is eternal.

Meth is joking, obviously.

He knows my record and knows he's never beaten me, so he's basically inconsequential in my eyes.

Oh, and E? It was Jesse, not Jake. Just a little assist there, old friend.

::Chuckles::
I thank you G'nort for another smart-ass reply, I may be inconsequential in your eyes, and yes, you've beat me twice out of two duels. But how can you have any voice, if you don't use a blade, this is the Duel Of Swords, not of tongues. Aswer that with another smart-ass reply, that your so good at.

Reading of the crimson arm band, and the fact it is being worn in honor of Dalamar, just brings about a shake of his head. Scribbles a little message under Summer's passage on Myst's note.

---

Honestly, I'm at a loss for words. I want to be mean here, but I'll probably just end up sounding funny.

Maybe commenting on something like the fact that allowing a simpleton (a person lacking common sense, not just a simple person, mind you) the King or Leader of a group of well learned and skilled individuals is just beyond stupid.

That not being the exact case here (although, with all due respect I think more than a few simpletons are involved: both cork and challenge), I'll bite my tongue and wait for someone to get offended by my sneaking in long enough to read this entire thread and not dueling to earn my right to actually post this thing.

Roland

PS: If you take personal offense to whatever I said above: You should, because more than likely when the word simpleton popped up you thought: "Hey, he's talking about me!" And that's all you need to confirm that I was indeed referring to you.

Methous lad...

G'nort has dueled more duels in -half- his career than you have dueled in your multiple lifetimes.
The man accomplished the goal of achieving 100 WoL, something rare indeed.
He has worn more Baron's Rings than most of the community. He has successfully defended the rank of Baron more often than you have challenged, even if you were to challenge today.
He has contributed more to this community since his retirement, than you have in your entire career.
If Bishop himself were to pen a note upon this cork, it would carry just as much weight were he an active duelist or not.
Think well before you insult those who have done so much.

::Gets this after defending her in a past post::

Lady Drake,
I believe you have confused me with someone who cares what he has done. I will do something I almost never do, I will sound intelligent "I reserve the right to insult anyone I please, and there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it." G'norts words. "This is the duel of swords, not of Tongue's." My words.
If you love your G'nort so much, he seem to be man enough to climb any mountain, I suggest you give him a go at it. I know this sounds as rude, and as mean as I have ever been, it is. I hate to be compared, to anyone, that's one of the quick's ways to my temper. I know I will regret this later, when I calm down, but now, I couldn't care less.
