::Running .... running through the dark..... she sees him in the distance.... not far now. Out of breath, weakened with exhaustion.... Khrys reaches for her Love. He turns to face her..... and she pulls away. "No.... Daemon.... Please"...... :: Bolting awake in a tangle of sweat drenched sheets, eyes wide in terror, gown sticking to her skin, Khrys lights a lamp by the bedside. Looking around the small bedroom she reassures herself that she is alone.... There is no one else here. Remembering the nightmare, she hugs his pillow close to her, trying to make sense of it all. Daemon, but not... the only thing the same were the eyes...... But even they were different. Not full of love as she is used to seeing them, but hard, and filled with ..... something else. With the sour stench of her own fear thick in the room she waits for the morning sun. Unable to return to sleep, she knows that something is verra wrong in the Land of The Rising Sun.((OOC Note: This is a StoryLine, not an open posting. The beginning of the SL can be found in the earlier subject "The Beginning Of The End?" for those who are interested.))

As Written By Daemon Satyriasis (Part 1) Daemon trudged his way back up the mountainside. His teleporting was far from perfect. The hard landing has injured his pride more than his body. He had checked his pack, his two swords rested safely within. A light snow started to fall and he pulled his cloak tight. Daemon paused briefly to look at the surrounding countryside. He was awestruck by it's simple beauty. An unusually warm breeze met him as he crested the mountain. His eyes were drawn to the rising sun banner flying high in the air. Daemon's gaze followed the pole back down to the ground. He was startled by what he saw. A small temple sat in the middle of an active volcano. Warm winds from the molten lava caressed his face. There was a rickety wooden bridge spanning the pool. Where the bridge and mountain met stood a small man. Next to the man was a large knight clad in full black plate mail. As he approached, Daemon's eyes studied the helmeted knight. The knight was dressed for battle. It carried a gleaming black sword and a full body shield. On the shield, two red rays crossed diagonally from the bottom right upwards. Long black locks of hair flowed from beneath the full face helm. "Pale one." The small old man spoke. His common was unfaltering and it broke Daemon's trance. "it is about time you arrived. We have much to do and only a short time in which to do it." He turned swiftly and began to make his way across the wooden bridge. As Daemon began to follow, the black knight moved to intercept him. Daemon set his pack down on the soft ground. "Hey, Fuji-san," he yelled. "Tell your doorman to stand aside." The knight tilted his head to the side, reached down and picked up Daemon's pack. "Thanks," Daemon said to the silent knight. "Your first lesson pale one," the old man spoke, "will be to defeat the evils in your own heart. Evils which are so much a part of you that you fail to see them. When you defeat the blackness of your own heart, you will be allowed on sacred ground." The knight threw Daemon's pack towards the volcano. Daemon's eyes went wide with terror. Not only where his swords in the pack, but a recent portrait of his loving wife was also. "No." He cried out, and ran for the lip of the volcano. He stood there helpless, and weaponless as his pack entered the molten lava. When he turned back to the bridge, the old man was gone. The knight stood motionless barring the path across the lava. Furious, Daemon stormed up to the knight. He failed to notice the knight grow slightly larger as he neared. Expecting a block, he swung a mighty left hook at the knight. The block never came, and with an audible crack, Daemon's fist met with the plate mail helm. He clentched his fist with his right hand. His two middle fingers were broken. A rage welled from deep within him. He charged the knight once more. The Knights shield came up as Daemon's shoulder barrelled in. They both stumbled back a bit. If he noticed, he seemed not to care that the knight had grown larger still. "Come on." He yelled, focusing the rage. "Come on you coward, swing that fancy sword." The Knight grew larger still. "Pale one," a disembodied voice spoke. "Your anger only makes your enemy stronger." "Just wait till I get inside old man." He feinted left, then tumbled to the right. His mind knew it would soon be out of this battle as the beserker rage consumed Daemon. These last few moves had to count. From behind, his left foot kicked the knight's knee into a forward bend. The knight had to place a hand on the ground to keep from falling. From his postion on the ground, Daemon's follow up kick did little damage. It did mangage to knock the helmet from the black knight's head. Daemon released the rage at the sight of his enemy. He blinked twice as the black knight rose to stand. Unlike before, the knight was now furious in it's attack. "What treachory is this old man?" Daemon was slowly backing away from the knight. The knight moved in methodically. It swung it's sword to Daemon's left, then right. Daemon was being herded towards the lava pool. Daemon took off the belt which held his coin purse. The knight's skin was as black as Daemon's was pale. A three claw mark was the only white spot on his face. Daemon was visibly shaken by the knight's uncanny resemblence. Their eyes where the only feature which were truly identical. Daemon used the belt like a whip. He was trying to catch the knight's sword arm. He was only a few feet away from the lip and running out of options. As the knight swung, Daemon moved left. He tumbled with the blow he knew wouldn't miss. His armor had taken most of the damage. His right arm began to numb from the force of the hit. Daemon focused on the pain. He threw snow in the charging knight's face. The sword went high in the air and Daemon's eyes followed. It was the shield which inflicted the pain this time. Daemon stood slowly from the unexpected shield bash. More pain was good, he focused on the blood running down from his lip. The rage came full cycle. Beserk, Daemon's eyes glowed with an undescribable brilliance. The black knight retreated a few steps and again tilted his head to the side. Daemon charged with only his hands for weapons. The knight quickly stepped aside and shoved Daemon as he passed. The edge of the volcano neared. Daemon could not stop his forward momentum. His Body lurched over the edge and he tumbled towards the hot lava.
