Lords and Ladies of the Duel of Swords,
T'was my honor and privelige to bear witness to the Baron of the 7th, Daelin Dragonblade, fight the self-imposed test to determine if he should or should not remain Bearer of the 7th Ring. Gimmzak Stonecutter, Baron of the 11th and chosen by the Council as the one to test Daelin, was not in attendance on the appointed night. The Barons who were present, at the request of myself, voted a new Champion, Galin Taelca, Baron of the 9th, to test Daelin.
The duel proceeded as follows:

LC TH 3-2
SL FDU 4-2
LC TH 4-3
FDU HC 5-3
And so, defeated 5 - 3 in 8 rounds, Daelin Dragonblade retired the 7th ring. The 7th is to be presented as a prize at the next Warlord's Tourney

It shouldst be recorded that the senior Baron present didst nae take the Council in hand and that the Barons were subjected to direction by officials prior to coming to a decision. An unprecedented circumstance, one that, should it become common place, may undermine the Council's authority, ast well ast the rights and privileges of the titled ranks.
