More History to the Rings.

Ok, I already know Var has done some of this, but I just wanted to try a hand at it, so here goes another small history lesson:

Times of Forfeiture and/or retirement:

1st Ring- 3 times, by Feadur Feamegil, Ford Prefect and Lyon T'gar. All who retired the ring.

2nd Ring- 2 times, by Martigan Crow who won the Baron's Tournament to become Overlord after Gnimish Gnimoi retired the Crown, and by AJ Bird (The "Warbird") who became stricken with illness.

3rd Ring- Never.

4th Ring- 6 times. Twice by Shade who failed to show up for challenges against Lupton and Phlag, once by Phlag who simply disappeared, once by Jesse Troyan who threw up the ring immediately after he won it from Huma, and twice more by Zen Rising, once from failing to respond in the week time limit and the second to go on to become 34th Overlord.

5th Ring- 5 times, Kalamere Ar'Din left the ring to become Overlord, Juan Sanchez Villalobos Ramirez forfeited the ring after not showing up for a challenge, Elijah Basia-Uhr retired the ring, after a failed challenge to Overlord Athlstan, Errol Faline who was driven in a coma, retired the ring, and the Nameless One, left the ring and the sport no longer finding time to dedicate to both.

6th Ring- 1 time, by Torquillian Aspendale, it's first holder who disapproved of the relationship between Overlady Siera Redwin and the Dark Elf Feadur Feamegil.

7th Ring- 3 times, once by Ulath Fici when he mysteriously disappeared, a second time by Dirk Random who shared the same fate, and thirdly by Athlstan who left the Seventh to become Overlord.

8th Ring- 4 times, first by Midnight Blue who in an arguement with Elijah Basia-Uhr decided to retire the ring instead of facing him in challenge. Next by Wicked Deth who retired after being bested by Athlstan in a bid for Overlordship. The ring was forfeited next by Ulath Fici when he failed to respond to a challenge by Raiyko Hideo, Raiyko was handed the victory. The ring was lastly retired by Jonathan Ringo after about a 3 month drought of
challenges.

9th Ring- 3 times, first by Moralitor the Black who stepped down from being a Baron. Secondly, by Daegarth Mithmellon who left the title to become Overlord and lastly by Zen Rising who was stripped of title after the calling of the First Ever Baron's Council.

10th Ring- Never.

11th Ring- 1 time, by Darkness who invited a que of challenges, but never showed for the duels.

12th Ring- Never.

13th Ring- 1 time, retired by Sir Leo Cassius Pride who left Rhydin to resume his training as a priest.

Longest Reigns:

1st Ring: Seamus McDonnaugh (9 months, 11 days) with one successful defense against Daelin Dragonsblade.

2nd Ring: AJ Bird ( 2 years, 1 month, 3 days) with eleven successful defenses against Lyon ThrackHath, Baphelocutis est Lathadoscia, Adonai Uziel, Verceterix Gavin 'ur Favre 'il Thorne, Arlingond of Questrion, Evan Rush Rynth, Kingfish of Covington, Percival Marchand de Clermont, Jesse Troyan, and Roland Sal Roa*

3rd Ring: Percival ( 1 year, 1 month, 3 days) with one successful defense against Lyon ThrackHath.

4th Ring: Phlag ( 11 months, 25 days) with two successful defenses against Duke Leto of Covington and Jo Kicklen Elbinknyght. *

5th Ring: Kaprielle D'Argent ( 6 months, 7 days) with one successful defense against Magnus Claudius Lestae'.

6th Ring: Adeena Maeax ( 10 months, 7 days) with one successful defense against Gloria Blaze*

7th Ring: Jeffrey Oakenshield ( 6 months, 17 days) with four successful defenses against Lupton est Dracoern ( 3 times) and Elijah Basia-Uhr.

8th Ring: Jeffrey Oakenshield ( 1 year, 8 months, 2 days) with 5 successful defenses against, K'yorl Jarlaxel, Jake, Topaz Eludes Arakanan, Falablah Delgate, and Martafan Illusion Faxfallen.

9th Ring: Queen Luthien Tinuviel ( 1 year, 1 day) with no successful defenses*

10th Ring: Var Medici-Giovanni ( 4 months, 16 days) with one successful defense against Agrenish Preescot.

11th Ring: Gimzak Stonecutter ( 11 months, 15 days**) with three successful defenses against Gloria Blaze, Daegarth Mithmellon and Sarah Elijah Alexander.*

12th Ring: Walker Boh ( 4 months, 30 days) with one successful defense against Sintamyr.

13th Ring: Magnus Eques ( 7 months) with five successful defenses against, Unagi Miyamoto, Jesse Troyan, Eros Hunrai Marzanhe DeBurgo, Morn'lythe shena Jor'ethan, and Avery Shiv Blade.

*Not including Overlord Intercessions and forfeitures by challengers
**Current reign

I think this needs to be looked in to. I was positive someone else surpassed this time frame...

Oh crap..::it had almost completely slipped his mind that it was August and he makes a few slight changes::

Longest Reigns:

5th Ring: Verceterix Gavin Favre ( 6 months, 23 days) with one succesful defense against Methous.

6th Ring: Adeena Maeax (1 year, 4 months, 1 day) with 4 successful defenses against Tukros, Lady Alais 'd Nitesong Sidhe, ZanDura Barbados and Ranger Blue.

Thanks for bringing these corrections to my attention, if there are any more..please direct me to them and I will be happy to rectify it. : )

Daelin, I hate doin this to you....

But you missed something on forfietures of Baronies. Cristian de Oro gave up the First when he beat Eros deBurgo to become Overlord
