((Author's note:
I feel insulted for feeling the need to put this up here first, but this is intended as a RP addition to the team duels. If you don't follow the team duels you should. They are fun. With that said let the role play begin..))
It had been a long duel. A grueling Duel. 19 Rounds. 19 rounds to come up short for what felt like the 100th time. Brian felt like he was dueling blind, and his scores reflected that. He had walked days trying to find that vision that had made his record so good in the team duels. The lady Sher had bested him, as had Luthien. He was on a bad streak even in the Arena. As Seamus dueled a match fit for framing, Brian placed the massive
gleaming claymore that he had forged himself, placing a bit of his very soul into the blade through incantation. The huge blade was a part of him but he felt he was not fit to carry it. He had tried to rally the lads together and they seemed further and further apart. It was his fault the team was not doing well, he was sure. They had done so well as a team before he lost his vision and now they seemed little more than strangers. Maybe without
out him they could go on to be the best team around. He believed they were without a doubt except for himself. Better to let the team suceed without his weight holding them back.
He quietly followed Helix out of the Tavern, never knowing that Seamus was already finished with his duel and blinking at the massive claymore weighing down his things.

::Still in shock from his duel, Seamus returns to this table and the items he had left there prior to entering the ring. As he approached the table he stopped short, spying a sowrd setting among his personal effects.::Wha' is this? :: he asks, looking to the broadsword.
The blade was of excellent caliber, and very similar to his own. Picking up the blade he notes the craftmanship. It seem to made by an artist, one very much like his long departed father. I know this blade, tis Brians. ::casting a glance to the table where Brian and his lovely wife Helix had been seated, then across the tavern, he sees that they are not to be found.
Quickly he races to the door and out into the street, in hope of seeing Brian coming back to collect the blade he has no doubt forgotten. Looking up and down the cobbled lane, he sees no sign of the couple. For a moment, he stands thinking of the nights events, and the look of dissatisfaction in his team mates eyes. Suddenly he knows. ::He has given up ! God Lord no, over a loss in the rings, he has tossed this blade aside? :: hurridly returning to
the tavern, he gathers his own belongings and walks out into the cool night air trying to remember where Brian hangs his hat::
