An idea for discussion.

From: Skyler JC
Hi, folks! Skyler Chamberland here! And I have an idea that I want other people's opinions on! Here goes...
How would it sound if we changed the title of "Warlord" to simply "Lord"? It is fact that very few of us have actually been in Wars. I don't think the title adequately describes us. I think it would be much cooler for my official term to be "Lord Skyler". And of course "Lady" sounds cooler than "Warlady" for the females, but that's just my opinion.
Please respond, I'm anxious to here what y'all think!

Kewl idea, Skyler. But how would you enforce those who haven't attained the title of 'Lord' or 'Lady' from usin' it? Or why would you want to? Or whatever. I know a ton of people who hang in the Arena on a regular basis titled Lords and Ladies, and I wouldn't -want- to see 'em called anything but that... I dunno, it's a neat idea, though.

Yer point is understandable Skyler...but some of us have been in wars, and dat is not even truly da point.
Ye would be tossin' away 5 years of DoS tradition...nae many would be receptive ta dat.
What's in a name anyhow? It's what da name represents dat makes it special, da dueler is what makes da title, nae da other way around
Just me opinion

I agree with Buffy. "Lord" or "Lady" is a title you're born to. Officially, I'm Lady Alanna etcetera etcetera,
::laughs as she writes::
but anyone call me that and I'll probably beat you up.
Seriously...to me, Warlady/lord sounds more like a title earned, not inherited. And since no son or daughter of a former Warlord/lady has come in claiming to be a Warlord....it makes more sense this way.

I wouldn't mind being called Baron, or Overlord
But just so I don't stand out too much, I'm saying to basically keep Warlord. I mean, I call people "Lord" and "Lady" etc. as a term of respect. I don't know what I'd call them then =) Just my opinion.

::scribbles under Summer's post::
And how many WoL do we need to be Ultimate Crones?
::stumbles off looking for her cane, muttering about the young whippersnappers who have no respect::
We used to have to duel barefoot in the snow...the rings were made of broken glass...and we didn't even have swords, just smacked each other around with sticks!!!

Well, up north we had to grow our own trees from seeds to even have the sticks. And we also had to walk 12 miles each way barefoot in the snow to get to the arena and I had to wear my older brothers old jerkin and worn bracers. ::smiles with a toothless grin, bark and leaves and stuff still stuck to her gums::
Oh yeah... we didn't have finger nails either.
