::After he had posted his intent, followed by the actual challenge to the overlord, he expected to find little rest the days oncoming to the match. Though as Gunthar sat at his home, the match with Zen slimly ever entered his thoughts. There was little nervousness, and even less fear, though a small amount of each was naturally still to be found. Instead his mind was on his fiancee, born for each other, though
only discovered in an ironic twist of fate. The Gods had been good to him, the beautiful young, intelligent woman had clouded away all nervousness he had, instead filling him with a new found hope, a desire, and anxiety he had not felt in so many years.
As he would wake in the early mornings, he would find her snuggled next to him, his mind no longer focused upon stressful matters that shrouded his life. No, now his mind was free, he was again enjoying life... again he strove to stand tall. She was all the family he had, none known left by blood. When he and his last wife suddenly split, he constantly felt self pity, asking why it all happened the way it did. He now understood why. He now
understood a soothsayer's words "Your fate will be seen at the northern cross," it was all now fitting together, all the pieces fit well. There was only one piece missing, and no... not having the crown, but attempting to better the sport he loves, the sport that has changed him in so many ways, some for the better, some definitely for the worse. Though after so many years, it was now a part of him, it was a part of who he was. The time was
now coming to make a change, though even in defeat he would surely find comfort. He would stay, and accept his place in the sport, but now was not the time to think of this, now he was off to be wed... This was to be a nice day, this was to be his day....::
