After losing in a close duel to Cletus to be dropped from the tourney, he wondered about for many hours, disturbed in his thoughts. His mind was in chaos, upset with his last two duels dropped in a row, both 5-4. After the first two duels he had but one point against him, what happened? Shaking his head he grew quite frustrated. What more did he wish? He was beginning to doubt whether he wished to stay any longer. As he had always said "once my
will, and ability to enjoy the sport are gone, it is time to leave." Well, he still enjoyed the sport, but outside the rings he was growing quite irritated. It seemed he would probably never receive respect as a title holder, regardless of reigns, or actions. Though that didn't matter too much as he held his friends and love for the sport first and formats. To make matters worse, as he wondered endlessly he took to the history books, hoping to cheer
himself up with memories, only to find that his reign had been posted. He began to read a soft smile on his lips, though part way through his jaw dropped as the historian tore him to shreds here and their with his words, at least in Gunthar's eyes, giving him little to no respect for his feats. His friends were now beginning to vanish as well, those he cared for were becoming fewer and fewer. The more time he spent with his wife Skye, the more he
questioned staying. Perhaps it was time to say good-bye.

After thinking a bit longer, he headed back into the arena, giving a few a farewell. Once home he Penned a short letter to Drakewyn, informing her of his retirement, then headed home, smiling as he says farewell to the sport.
