Patrons of the Duel of Swords,

I did, upon the Evenin' of September 15th at the hour of 10:30 pm (EST) 'ave the honor to officiate the challenge between Warlord and Baroness. This challenge was for the Sixth Ring, between Warlord Aspen and Baroness Simini.

Aspen dueled under the colors of Grey, Red, and White. The Warlord chose no Second and no Lady of honor.

The Baroness chose no house, colors, nor Second or Lord of Honor.

1) The Baroness starts this match off and it is possible Aspen is
quickly disappointed. But,.....since it is not over until it is over,
there remains hope. Simini lunges forward with a thrust.
Maybe next time Aspen's high cut will earn the point.
1 - 0 Sim.

2) Now since the high cut was already done, Aspen lowers his
weapon. He low cuts fast. Seems Simini was ready for this.
She parries it away circling her weapon!
1.5 - 0 Sim.

3) Aspen continues, his 5'4' stature manuevering the best that he
can it seems,...
Simini cuts high and he defends it with a very fancy lateral
parry.
1.5 - 1 Sim

4) Aspen's determined....the expression seems to show itself well
on his face. I suppose I would be determined too. He cuts in
with another fast low. Simini fancies circular parries it away
for another point!
2.5 - 1 Sim

5) This challenge started off in Simini's favor...Readiness is an all
important factor. The Baroness knows this...Ifn she is ready for
Aspen's thrust. I say she proves she is ready....with a lateral
parry!
3 - 1 Sim

6) Simini continues to maintain aggressive manuevering,... and
offensive maneuvering too. She low cuts.. and as Aspen
watches her, he fancy circular parries it away for a full
point.
3 - 2 Sim

7) This next step is a very interesting one! Aspen sidesteps over to
the right, very fancily. Any cheers for whose step is better?
Simini does her SimStep! cheers anyone?
3 -2 Sim

8) Simi jogs backward, her crystal blue eyes seem to guide her
move as she strikes out low. Aspen aims high and cuts. What
a trade!
4 - 3 Sim

9) This time Aspen's eyes seem to hint at low cutting...while he
circles..he positions himself low to the ring floor and fancily
ducks. Simini does the Simstep again! It's worth the show.
4 - 3 Sim

10) Simini spins quickly and maneuvers her weapon ..seemingly
wanting to get this match over and done. She cuts low and
Aspen takes a chance and thrusts.
4 all.

11) The challenge commences and so I will be quick and to the
point....As it begun in Simini's favor....so does it...End! When
she thrusts his sweeping low cut out of the way!

And so on this evening, I did witness and entered into the records, Baroness Simini defeat Aspen, 5 to 4 in 11 rounds!

My sincere thanks to those that attended this match and lent support to either combatant. I am pleased that I was found worthy enough to provide a sufficient defense of the Sixth Baron's Ring.

My thanks also to Aspen Jerista, for making such a strong Challenge, and allowing me just one, yet much-needed, opportunity to prove myself.

In full health, I will now strive to improve myself in another area. I only hope for continued providence in this endeavor.

Warm regards,
~ Simini

Zam,
Oh well Zam, no harm no foul

Simi,
Only 1 person rooted for me or cheered me on.
It was an excellent duel, and I thank you for the pleasure.
