Aja walked into the pub, unable to deal with the noise of the arena right then. Her head was pounding like a war drum and her shoulder was aching from being thrown off Chiron earlier that day.
Glancing around the pub, and was pleased to see she was one of 3 people there. She took a spot at the corner of the bar, and ordered an ale. Drinking wasn't going to help her headache, but at least it may dull the pain in her shoulder.
She was mid-way through her ale, when she saw him walk in. Tall, blond hair and some startling blue eyes. For a moment, she smiled, then remembered that men were off her list ever since Huma's stormy departure from her house.
With a sigh, she recalled that day again. He had been grousing all morning about her taking off one more time on a business trip. She had listened to all she had cared to, and told him in no uncertain terms that it was no longer an acceptable discussion. From there it escalated into a full scare war. She'd have sooner drawn swords with him, than stand there and have a possibility of Trevor overhearing every harsh word. With a stern hand and a
pointed look, she told him that if he didn't like any of it, the door was behind him and he could use it anytime. Typical fashion led him out with a last shot remark, a slamming door and her shaking her head. Hopefully, he'd just stay gone this time. She'd rather go five rounds with the undead than deal with him again.
The undead. Nikki. She hadn't thought about him in years it seemed. Always something else taking up her time. Aja chuckled slightly recalling how hard Nikki had laughed hard about her uneasiness about them. If he had been there, he'd be telling her that Huma was a fool, and in her anger, she'd agree. Except that she knew she'd never again hear him saying anything of the sort.
With a glance skyward, she took a long sip of her ale, and found her smokes in her vest pocket. As Aja lit one, the tall blond stranger sat down next to her. She glanced up at him, taking in his curious look. Almost feeling like they had met before. Somewhere. But where, she hadn't a clue.
"Can I help ya?" she took a slow drag from the smoke and looked at him evenly.

His ice blue eyes looked her up and down as she sat there. " Can I help ya?" She asked. He turned to face her kinda smiled and said "Tis may sound strange but I feel like I know ye. But by the gods I nae think I
have ever seen ya before this night." The elf's eyes narrowed and he tilted his head to the side. " Ye are Aja, Aja Bird, are ye nae?" He sat there looking at her waiting for her reply.

She sat stunned that a stranger knew her name for a moment. But then her wits gathered. Somewhere, he'd heard it before, perhaps from her shipyards, or something along the lines.
She just nodded with a grin.
"Yeah, that would be me. But you have me at a disadvantage, Sir. Since I do not have the pleasure of knowing your name."
Aja leaned back in her chair and propped a booted foot up on the chair rung. Her amused smile never faltering as those eyes seem to look right through her.
