Plea to Ecore
From: zamhulem@aol.com (Zamhulem)

Ecore I have known ye to be an honorable man from what I have seen of ye. Until more recent events that is. I ask ye in friendship to abbandon this personal crusade ye seem to be on for control of the Council. I can not see how the good of the sport can be properly represented from only one point of view. Please search deep in your heart. Find the truth in my words; And turn aside yer wrath or whatever is driving ye
to this foolishness.

Zam,
My interest in control of the Council membership actually has nothing to do with power or control in the sport. I need it for a more personal reason. You all can have the politics, my goal is more of a spiritual nature.

Ecore so you feel it is right for you to send in your elite dueling force or whatever you imagine them to be to challenge again and again any Baron who will not bow down to yer will? I ask again. PLEASE turn away from this foolishness. I did not mean to say I had any doubts about any of you Barons' skill with the blade. I hope ye understand I am only asking Ecore this because I b'leve by continuing his so called crusade he doing a great injustice to
the sport no matter what the intentions are. You ever hear that saying Ecore? "The road to hell is paved with good intentions" Thank you, this is my final plea on this matter Ecore.

Ecore,
If the sport of DoS rules any part of your spiritual life, I fear for you.
If controlling the council (which actually would not affect the basic fundamentals of anyone's life in DoS) has spiritual content for you, again, I fear for you.
If you think your crusade hasnt been tried before (and, failed, several times) you're wrong.
Ecore, there are more good duelists standing in your way, than not. I *think* I speak for the majority of the community when I say that we dont want you ruling the concil.

I think what you are all failing to understand, is that I really don't care how you feel about what I am doing. I don't want to control the sport, I don't want to control the politics. My trying to gain control of the entire Baron's Council has nothing to do with wanting to effect anything within the sport, it has to do with something outside of the sport. The rings just provide a resource I
need to accomplish a spiritual goal. They will simply be an ingredient to a spiritual ceremony for my own personal spiritual Transcendence. I am basically trying to secure my freedom from the master who holds my soul captive in the Lower Planes.

This new justification is rather funny. I'm glad he's trying to make himself look better, now.

E,
I don't mean to question your statement here, but if this is the case then why advertise so loudly your intentions? If you really didn't care how we felt, you wouldn't go out of your way to do and say things most likely to cause reactions. This is a fairly common mental trap. Someone says they don't care about the opinion of a person or group of people. Then they do or say something designed to ellicit a reaction from that person or group.
E, I think there are still some people around here with no personal axe to grind against you. I don't think you will find your spiritual release in turning yourself even more into what you already seem to think you are. If everyone is truly out to get you, why give them reasons?
I think, deep down, part of you likes having everyone mad at him. Otherwise, you wouldn't rub in everyone's nose just how little you care about what they think or feel.

Ecore. If this is the case then I can only assume that you intend to do Meth one better and destroy all or a majority of the rings in your ceromony. Otherwise why would you not just ask the Barons for their support in helping you rid yourself of this "master of your soul"? I am sure they would be more than happy to help a fellow Baron in need. Friends, Romans/Scots/Welshmen/Gauls/Britons/RhyDyners (Circle One). Lend me your ears.
I seem to be one of the few people here who doesn't consider Elijah an enemy. I would even go as far as to say he often makes for good company. This being said I think this scheme to control the council is beyond ludicrous... it is obscene.
If he needs the Barons to help in some ritual I ,for one, would be glad to offer whatever service I may provide. Beyond this, I would under no circumstances condone Elijah's coup against the council.
I thought that Elijah had previously stated his intent was political and that he hated the council. Regardless, I care not for his intent... it would seem the gauntlet has been thrown down.
Elijah, You are a Baron sir. It is an honorable position, do not let your avarice cloud your judgement. If you wish to exhert control over the council, dazzle us with your rhetoric or convince us with your arguments. Do not take the cowards way out and attempt to use brawn and steel... For on that day regardless of the outcome, YOU will have failed Draco.
