Var~

I would rather play the fool than the heartless bastard. However, you are as free as I am to make a choice between the two attributes.

Flipping through the many things on the cork since last he was here, the dwarf comes across his name and chuckles softly in reading. Taking quill to paper he pens a reply.

Yes Drake Gnort and I traveled with a party long long ago that encountered 3 different dragons. A blue, a shadow and a red. Each we encountered and each we fought. I won't go into any greater detail for I don't wish to offend anyone. If anyone has any quesitons feel free to see me.

>Elves, by their very nature, are not mortal...

Drake, this isn't quite true. While Elves do live much longer than Humans, they are most definately mortal. They do die, both in combat of more natural causes. I lost both of my Grandparents on my mother's side, both fully elven, to what is considered a natural ending for elven kind. I lost my older, and only, brother to death in combat.

Well Khrys...

That all depends on your deffinition of Mortal... and also on what kind of elf I've been told.
The branch of the Elven race that Luthien belongs to is, in the classic sense, not mortal.
However, just because someone is not mortal, does not mean they cannot be killed.

If you really want to know the details,

I can not speak the name of the one who holds my soul captive, but they hold their lair on the lower plane of Tarterus. The reseptacle of my lifeforce is within a green emerald orb in their lair. I can not journey my avatar to the realm of Tarterus or it and my soul will be forever destroyed. I can guide those interested so far, but I can not be actively involved, or else again my soul will be forever destroyed. If my soul and my avatar could
be joined together, then I would once again become a mortal man to walk the plane of the prime. From what I understand there is only a few methods in which I can be released from my imprisonment.

A. The one who holds my soul, frees me, the most unlikely.

B. The orb is acquired and rejoined with my avatar in a special ceremony, a dangerous feat.

C. A summoning ceremony of magical sacrifice in which my spirit would basically be stolen astrally from Tarterus to a new host of some kind, the one I am most capable of doing on my own.

As Guardian of the Seventh till Draco fails me,

Someone make him mortal...

... so we can kill him.

Already threw my hat into the ring, so to speak, Sid.

I shall take actions. Both to remove the ring from the demons grasp and to help free your spirit Ecore .

::giggles::
Silly humans! Me Elf, or I assume; and we live long, yes, with the exception of my elders, who did not live long, and are not living, but yes, I will live long! Oh yes, I make sure. But certainly, mortal I am. Tarterus! Tarterus! ::giggles:: Bring plenty of meat for Cerberus! Send my regards to the boatman! Yip! ::giggles:: Lest you be traveling to some Tarterus outside of my religion, you'll have a tad bit of trouble!

As I've said before to you people: Anything can be killed, even "immortals". All it takes is the destruction of a major portion of their being, usually the ego will suffice.

Just remember, you all die just as easily as the next when you're asleep.
