To control the council...

As a Roman, and the son of a Senator I believe I have been given a unique perspective on how one goes about gaining control of a governing body such as the council. From an early age I saw all the tricks and as a somewhat messochistic public service announcement, I will hereby announce my tips so that anyone who wants to sieze control of the council will have an easier time accomplishing just that...

The "Do's" of the coups.

1. If one has a huge Army it is often practical to sieze control of the council building by force. This would prove problematic in RhyDyn however, due to the fact that nearly EVERYONE has a huge army, or if not an actual army enough money to raise one.

2. One can get a majority of the council to throw their support behind you and elect you a sort of consul. This as well may be difficult to accomplish for some. It is safe to assume that most folks on the council are reasonably content to stay there. It therefore seems unlikely that they would rally behind the cause of doing away with their own authority.

3. Kill us all somehow. I doubt this is happening. Many on the council are immortal, or nearly so and in my experience mortal RhyDyners have a habit of refusing to die until they bloody well feel like it.

4. Push us all out by having us all challenged and defeated... Pipe dream.

The "Dont's" of the coup:

1. Dont warn everybody beforehand!
2. Dont attempt it when your position is not totally secure. Let us say you were just challenged and that there was a line forming to challenge you again. This is all purely hypothetical of course.

Now this is my favorite part...

The two GOLDEN RULES of the coup:

1. Marius is always right...
2. If Marius is ever wrong, re-read rule 1.

I hope this will prove helpful to any would-be conquerors...
