Magnus, what format will this match Sunday be? Best of Three, or singular? Would be nice if you bothered to let us mere underlings know.

Well Cas...

You may consider yourself an underling, but I do not.
Then again, it should be noted that... except for the one time Dalamar offered a Best of Three to a Tournament winner, it has always been tradition that the Tournament winner face the Overlord in a single duel.

That being so, perhaps Magnus didn't feel he needed to say so... Sometimes you're pretty dense, even for a Roman. ::Draws a little smiley-face in after that line.::

I have been informed of my mistake, and apologize.

Madame Silvertree,

Perhaps thee believe th' a single instance connotates "Tradition"? Tis fer th' Overlord t' decide which 'e wouldst offer. Mind thee, hae forgotten t' so called Best 'o Three canst only be offered t' a challenger. Tis fer t' challenger t' accept or decline. Tis tradtion th' t' challenge 'o a Tourney winner be intercession free, yet tis nae annathin' wh' prevents t' Overlord from chosin' t' Test t' challenger wi' a champion 'o t' Overlord's choice.

Informatively,
Jonalyn Starfare.

If you want -my- "Opinion", which I'm sure you don't, Both are right.

Jona states that the tradition is an intercession free challenge.
Drake states the same thing, with the note that Dalamar offered the best of three once.

If I read this right, It appears to -Me- that Jona is believing Drake said that the Best Of Three is the tradition for tournement winners. While Drake is not saying such.

If I interpereted it incorrectly, I am certain I will be corrected. However, it appears to me that both Jona and Drake are saying the Same Thing.

Yes G...

That is what I said.
I'll post the exact words I used, for those of deficient reading skills. "it has always been tradition that the Tournament winner face the Overlord in a single duel."
However, I did make an error. Upon further review, it appears that Dalamar offered the Best of Three option to three Tournament prize winners... one of whom did not take the option, prefering to duel a single duel. Also, Eros DeBurgo offered the Best of Three option to Eric Siadek.

Funny... but I think the old fart offered the best of three to 3 tournament prize winners. One took it (Skyler) and two didn't (Daegarth and Perrinis). Oh, and he offered it to Marzan, who accepted it, however Marzan did not actually win the OL intercession free prize from the tournament. He won a second prize (normal OL challenge, with no stipulations about how the match could or could not be fought), which Dalamar offered of his own free
will since the tournament had no rings up for grabs. Get your facts straight.

Indeed she did, Jesse. If you read her last post, she states where Dal gave the Bo3 to three different people.
