::A small strip of paper is lying across the board, jotted down fiercely upon it are these simple words:

"Sic Semper Traidoris"

::It is unsigned::

Marius wrote this. Only he flaunts his Latin without translation. He's oh-so-smart.

How do you know I didn't write it, Lup?

Cas has a point... we got three crazy Romans runnin' around babbling phrases in their native language.

On a side note, I believe said phrase means "Thus always to traitors".

Cas, if you wrote it, you'd make sure to include your titles and everything which is usually longer than your post. Don't you get tired of writing the same thing down everytime you want to put one sentence to a paper?

Heck, it could even be Guillermus. He speaks in Latin all the time.

I'm telling you Rix...

He's got a rubber stamp with his name and titles on it, so he doesn't have to write all that stuff... Be careful, or someday he might snap and stamp his name and titles on your forehead!

Or maybe, Cas has the decency to post his name without being some random chump. And what's wrong with posting what you're proud of?

Gaius,

Its obvios by the way I correct your Latin grammer every time I see you that you couldnt have written that post. ::grins as he writes:: Heck, last I remember, you were calling boys, girls and using nomative for accusative...and talking to a single person in plural...

Jokingly, well not really...

Leo, it has been centuries, many, many centuries, since I spoke Latin frequently. I am only now starting to use it more, mainly thanks to the growing Roman community in Rhydin, as well as the presence and influence of the Baron of the 2nd. I'm sure it will come back to mind soon enough. What was the reason for this missive? Friend, please understand that I am rusty indeed.

Rix, Cletus, and everyone else who seems to care so much about my signature...it's stationary. It had been written and copied beforehand. My victory for the Eighth caused me the very annoying task of recreating the signature, and recopying it. I hire an apprentice sorceror for these occasions, who has the ability to set a pen to animation and to write the desired message. This sorceror also seems to have the ability to make money come out my nose,
cause that's about what I'm charged. If you would take time out from making fun of it long enough to actually observe, you would note that the ink on my signature is different than that on my posts, and also, it's drier.

Anymore questions? I'm here to entertain any and all inquiries.

((Neccessary OOC note: Cassius is very fluent in Latin. The problem? I, the player, am the one who isn't. Eh well, guess it's time to go book hunting....))

If yer stationary is so expensive Cassius, it could be said ye waste quite a bit of money.

If I were paying out of da nose fer a piece of paper, I would certainly save it fer important occassions. Ye seem ta feel it necessary ta use it on every single post, sometimes fer one sentence. I suppose others like Rix just find it amusing is all.

Jeff,

On our homeworld of Terra, the Romans were known for excessive waste and useless luxury. That's why their empire fell, because they became fat, lazy, and obsessed with such things.

As Guardian of the Seventh till Draco fails me,

Elijah,

On my homeworld of Terra, the Romans were known for having the greatest empire in History. They were known for setting up systems that defined law and beauracracy for Western culture and whose legacy lasted millenia. They were also known for marvelous architectural feats, and for a highway system that lasted centuries after the Empire was gone. They spawned what was to be Earth's most populous religion... Their language became a common thread in
nearly all Western Terran languages.

Furthermore they conquered Wales. Fat, Lazy, Obsessive, useless luxuriates conquered Wales. So if Cassius, or I or anyone else for that matter, prefer to converse in our musical native tongue, you can go back home. You can sit under one of Wales' nonexistant architectural marvels and have a good cry about it.
