For the community,
First, I wish to thank Long for a most excellent match. He gave me all I could want, and more. I found him to show nothing but respect in all our meetings, and deemed him an honorable man as such. Second I wish to thank all those that came out for the duel. For those that cheered me on, I say thank you. For those that came to watch the duel, I can only hope you got your moneys worth. I wish to also thank Drake for calling the match. She did it with
honor and dignity.
Now, for the community, and those barons that wish to know my stances. Let me begin by saying, if you wish to talk with me about this situation, I will be open. Now, as far as my beliefs. To those that stand loyal to me, I will show you every amount of respect for your loyalty. If needed I will step in for you. I have no qualms about interceding for one of my Loyal. If they wish to not have me step in, I will respect there position.
As for using the test. I will say now, I will. I have nothing wrong with using the test. Will I use it every time? No, I won't. But there will be times I do use it. My reasons are this. Do any of you think I am afraid? Do any of you think my skill lacks for the position I now hold? I would hope the answer to that, would be no. I am the Overlord, and have proved my skill to get it. I am the Diamond, and have proved my skill to get it. People tell me
that I am the first to hold both titles at the same time. This is nothing but an honor, and a show of my skill I believe. I do not hide behind the test, but rather use it, as it should be used. To test a challenger. To many Overlords since Dalamar, have been afraid to use the test. I will not be.
Because of this, I know many who may call me friend might become renegade to me. This I can accept. I know that in this sport the politics can often divide friends. Pretty much most people already know my stances, as I have been a baron for a long time now. I have spoke of them, and nothing here should be new.
Now for non challenge related stuff. The one reason I fought in this duel, was to help change the Arena. There has been many ideas mentioned in the last six months, and I wish to do what I can to continue with them. From organizing baronial council meetings, to other events. There have been many ideas mentioned that could bring this community together, and now I wish to act on them. In the near future, I will be talking with some, and posting
thoughts upon this board. I am here to help the community. I have always been.
Some may go loyal to me for those ideas. Putting aside the politics of the sport. They may wish to help me in the betterment of the sport. To this I say welcome, and thank you. Know that I shut no one out though. I will need everyone's help, from loyal, to renegade. From baron to commoner. If we can all work together, we can bring the fun back to the rings.
Of course to do this, I will need to stay around a while. The good news is I don't plan on leaving. This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and it is finally realized now. Again, thank you to everyone. I only hope to treat this position with the respect it deserves. More over, to continue to treat the people and the sport with the respect they deserve.

How do you say they were afraid to use it? Just because I didn't use it, does that mean I was afraid? Im just against it, and others before me probably were too. This does not mean we were afraid.

I don't believe ya were da only Overlord between Dalamar and Avery. If ya were and I just missed it, congrats a fine reign, but I coulda sworn Avery beat Long Wang Lo. He didn't name any names, obviously if ya felt a need ta respond it was because dere must be some truth ta what Avery had ta say.

It seems to me that I have said this more than once myself. It also seems to me that the person using the same argument now was one of the people who argued against me when I did. Hate to break it to you, but Dalamar wasn't afraid to fight his own duels. He was more than capable of defending himself, as his tenure at the rank compared to any other Overlord's tenure sort of demonstrates.

Also, Sartan...
Dalamar had alot more one on one matches than he had Champions stepping in.
I think what Dal was more known for was testing during Baron challenges, not his own.

Yeah.
Ellisa denied that Draven guy to challenge Dal. Beat him 5-4 in 14-15 rounds, I think. Wasn't that outstanding, but the job was righteously done, especially since Draven wasn't someone who should have been an Overlord.
