Loyalty denied
You will stand renegade.
Your failure to gain ten per wins in my eyes was disrespectful, and dishonorable. You only gained nine such wins, and used a forfeiture as the last. On your challenge night I stepped in to allow you such a chance to gain the last per win. Unfortunately, another choose to step in. As I asked him why he would do such, all he could say was that you were his friend. Well, as friends you will stand Renegade together. I believe the baron knows in his
heart he did the wrong thing. That there are times that we must uphold what is right, even if it hurts a friend. If he doesn't, then I do feel sorry.
I give congratulations, to the baron for the win against me. I give congratulations to you for becoming a Baron. But, do not shame me by pledging loyalty. I will not except it now, and thus, you are banished to Renegade.

To the Community: My sincerest apologies
To Avery: Thank you, my friend. You tried, and that is all that matters. You will always have my loyalty Overlord.
To Damien: Congratulations, a congratulations of the same type that the proud Roman army was forced to concede when defeated by Hannibal. Sort of an irony that I mention that as a comparison, as Hannibal defeated Rome on their own ground, took thousands of gold rings from fallen centurions, and forced the legions to fight on his turf.
Guess what? Hannibal was defeated on his turf, and Carthage was shortly afterwards destroyed forever. You figure out what that means for you.

Good.
Damien will be removed quickly.
Cas was removed by the only one low enough to challenge him.
It all worked out well, I think.

The fact that a baron actually helped this man seemed to have solved my quandry. The fact that the man won has made it a problem yet again.
At least now, barring anything further, it's only a coin flip.

Arlight, I did what I did and I have no qualms about it, despite what some may think. If you have a problem with what I did, don't wait, issue your challenge now. Don't stand up here saying you might challenge, just do it. I'll put you in line right behind Topaz.

Cas,
A song
DoS
~~His eyes are cold and restless~~
~~His wounds have almost healed ~~
~~Well, it ain't no woman, flesh and blood~~
~~It's that damned old DoS. ~~
(chorus)
~~Well, it's Leather boots and blood~~
~~It's sand and dust and mud ~~
~~It's the roar of a Challenge crowd~~
~~It's the white in his knuckles ~~
~~The Sword in the Hand ~~
~~He'll win the next go 'round~~
~~It's boots and Armors~~
~~It's metal Helmets ~~
~~It's cloaks and gloves~~
~~It's the Fanceys and the cuts~~
~~And the joy and the pain ~~
~~And they call the thing DoS.~~
*chorus*
~~It'll drive a dueler crazy ~~
~~It'll drive one insane ~~
~~And he'll sell off everything he owns ~~
~~Just to pay to play the duels ~~
~~And some broken bones and bloody scars~~
~~Is all he'll have to show ~~
~~For all the years that he spent chasin' ~~
~~This dream they call DoS. ~~
(chorus)
~~Well, it's Leather boots and blood~~
~~It's sand and dust and mud ~~
~~It's the roar of a Challenge crowd~~
~~It's the white in his knuckles ~~
~~The Sword in the Hand ~~

~~And they call the thing DoS.~~

D, well done on your win granted it may have been hard to have fun in the match due to the circumstances.
Cletus. I thank you for stepping in and protecting someone's right to challenge. DoS is only a game and at least I know a few still share the same views as I do.

::sighs as he reads this:: What a shame that ignorance seems to be contagious.
Evan,
Sorry to say, The Duel of Swords is a Sport, not a game. Damien did not actually earn the right to challenge, as he used a peer win that was a forfiet, one in which he was actually losing. It's a shame that someone I thought would understand reasons for not allowing a person to challenge actually takes the side of so wretched a challenger. I suppose you would have supported Methous, as well.
Disappointedly,
G

To say the Duel of Swords is "only a game" is to belittle every single person who has shed their blood, sweat, and tears in the Rings. I, for one, am offended by that statement.

Walker:
Good luck if the coin decides in favor of challenging Damien, but know that I also seek to dethrone the Baron, mainly cause it was my night of poor dueling that put him where he is in the first place.
Sir Robert:
I like...I like.
Evan: Thank you for belittling the blood and effort shed by myself and the Overlord, not to mention Cletus and Damien, by calling DoS a mere "game". This quip was a shining example of the great judgment and reasoning that caused Dalamar Ar'Daumon chose to Test *you* many moons ago. I thank you for refraining from wreaking controversy on the higher ranks like you once did by not being able to stay a Warlord for longer than three weeks at a time.
Cletus is not worth responding to.

To begin with, I'd like to congratulate all four duelists who took part in this challenge. It was a fine display of skill by all.
Aside from that, I simply hope Damien does not hold his title for long, for I feel he is not worthy to be a baron.
