Let it be known that on the evening of November the 2nd of the year 1999 at the hour of 10:15 eastern, Warlady Topaz did press forth challenge in effort to bear title as holder of the thirteeth ring which Baron Cletus Ganderfald acknowledged and chose to defend.
Baron Ganderfald chose Baron Daelin Dragonsblade as his Second and his wife, Arane stood as his Lady of Honor. He represented the Flag of Polaris and wielded his father's sword, Hralfgar.
Warlady Topaz chose Xenograg kathu-Darelir as her second and Gavin McTege stood as her Lord of Honor. She represented The Guardians of Truth, dueled under the colors of jade and black, and wielded a feather light long-sword.
The duel progressed as follows within the so named Ring of Barony:
Round 1) Topaz begins by bringing the feather light long sword up from the readed position and cuts high from there. Cletus sidesteps fancily and the first point is awarded to the Warlady.
1 - 0 Topaz
Round 2) Cletus manuevers his weapon upward and cuts in quick and nice but the Warlady is ready to defend with a fancy lateral parry for the second point.
2 - 0 Topaz
Round 3) Is there more entertainment with that fancy sidestepping of the Baron or the stop hit of the Warlady? No points for either.
Round 4) Intent written on his face, Cletus high cuts again! This time it is Topaz who steps out to the side so fancily and risks a point.
2 - 1 Topaz
Round 5) Topaz returns offensively with .....another high cut, the seemingly favorite cut 'ere tonight beside fancy sidestepping defenses such as the one from Cletus.
3 - 1 Topaz
Round 6) ) Professional swordplay brings on a low cut from the Warlady as Cletus decides to stop hit.
4 - 1 Topaz
Round 7) Topaz and Cletus both set themselves in a defensive-minded mode. Both Fancy their moves.Topaz brings the feather light long-sword into circular parryin
motion..and Cletus ducks down and takes a full point!
4 - 2 Topaz
Round 8) Fanciness reigns in the challenge ring once again...Cletus circles Hralfgar into a nice parry.....Topaz presses forth in an all defensive fashion and at last moment's notice . . . sidesteps for the fifth point and the seat of Baroness!
5 - 2 Topaz
Topaz Eludes defeats Cletus Ganderfald, 5 - 2 in 8 Rounds.
The Baroness aligned herself loyal to Overlord Avery Shiv Blade who presented her with the ring. A former Baroness of the Ninth ring, she marks the evening as a second time Baroness.
It was my honor to officiate and witness this event, a match I shall describe as an excellent display of dueling skill.

oops.
Topaz does not bear the last name Eludes. I'll have to delete it from the document.
