"I'm going to either take Zen's or Zam's ring from them after I get a couple more peer wins"

I wanted to thank ye Billy fer considering me to be a worthy opponent. Yer skill is legendary. When ye consider challenging me I feel ver' honored and ye must've changed yer views on my abilities as a skillful dueler from yer past view when you thought my school was just a joke and you said something about me teachin duelists to be inadiquate. . Once again I say thank ye. I assure ye, ye will nae be dissapointed when ye challenge me. Well unless
losing is dissapointing to ye. And mark my words I shall win.

Um, Zam, Mr. Protector of the meek and weilder of whatever you call your weapon . . .

I think the reason Billy said he was going to take your ring is because he thinks you're unworthy to be a Baron. I could be wrong, but I somehow doubt that I am.

But of course Zam would take that as saying at least he's worthy of stepping into the ring with Billy, whether you're wrong or not, Rix. Personally I think he deserves someone like me taking the ring from him.

I would have normally thought that too, Zen. But I somehow just doubt it with this guy.

Obviously sarcastic.

I mean, who feels honored in a ring with a guy that finds you inadequate with your teachings and finds your school a joke?

Must be that Great Billy, guy. The "Bad Boy of DoS."

We all love Billy. You know, the guy that whoever he challenges, he will beat.

- Wait, wait. Has Zam's life been handed to him?

Hmph.

Actually I just figured he must think my skill has improved so I am honored.

He rubs his temples a moment thinking about this, then posts something that is sure to be critisized.

----

Billy Ray has been here a long time. He has done numerous things, and has had tremendous success both in and out of the rings. Of course, he's crude, rude, blunt and loud-mouthed. Mostly because that's him. He's proud of that fact, I think, and even brags about his attitude.

Does the fact that Billy has been around so long and done so much automatically make anyone he targets a lesser person?

It makes me wonder how people would react to me had I been targeted by him.

G,

If you had talked smack about me I would have targeted you.

>Does the fact that Billy has been around so long and done so much
>automatically make anyone he targets a lesser person?>

If you don't know the tactics I've used from day one till now, my explaining it won't help you. You're mistaking the dueler with the person. I'll admit all the bad things people say about me are most likely true. And YES, I am proud of my harsh, course nature. It took me years to work my way into that frame of mind. Believe it or not, I used to be like all the rest of you. Way back when there was just a normal, friendly William Ray. A few
tragic occurrences later, the man no longer exists and the world is stuck with Karnafexx.

Do you think I choose people based on their ability to fight back? or their lack of popularity or my seeming abundance of support even when I'm in the wrong?

When I first came here they first thought me just another screaming lunatic, until that insane commoner started jumping on wildly popular people like Amaltea, Xeno, Mad Max and even the occasion cheap shot at the revered Bishop. I came, I saw and I kicked ass. I can't put it any other way. I had a stellar career and up until I retired myself ( a big mistake), things were steamrolling along nicely.

One reaches a point where, no matter the personality, one achieves a certain amount of grudging respect. Take Gondar for instance, from what I hear, the man was a total jerk. But he was a talented jerk....not my caliber, but he was good enough to be the best of his time. Now every time some bozo mentions the name Gondar, a lot of people get that nostalgic look in their eyes and pine for the old days. If Gondar was here he'd probably tell those
people to screw themselves. ( He had a better vocabulary than myself so he'd sound a lot better doing it though.)

I am NOT the man who can do no wrong by any means, I'm simply the man who's done wrong so many times that I do it right.

As for why I named Zam and Zen as one of my next targets? Both of them took it upon themselves to take MY way of handling problems and use them against me. Good people should never try to act bad, they just end up getting hurt.

As for people feeling slighted because I say my winning is a done deal? Self confidence has brought me just as far as fighting skill. If a man is hard to beat straight up then adding a little bit of self confidence and willpower are all one usually needs.

The best example of self confidence, aside from myself, is Jeff. Although he won't tell you to your face he's going to win, he certainly thinks it and most of the time, so do you. I'll bet you that self confidence alone has earned him a good 50+ wins in his career.

To the unnamed writer? I appreciate the vote of confidence. I don't know who you are but maybe you don't want to get yourself involved in my little meat grinder. I can certainly understand that. It's frustrating having to teach each new generation humility, but it also keeps it exciting. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

All in all, to sum this up. I'm as mean, rude, crude, nasty and bullying as you've heard. However, I am the most honest and forthright with my opinions as you will find in any man or woman. I stick by my values and trusted friends with the tenacity of a pit bull and I will never betray my trust in someone who has earned it. I am also open to new people if they can get over either their fear of my reputation or their eagerness to try to make a
name for themselves by attempting to attack me. Many of the duelers you look up too were once brand new and I befriended a good deal of them in my own, "tough love" kind of way.

PS: In case you think this letter means I have a soft side... remember that if you cross me I won't hesitate to stomp a mud hole in your ass and then walk it dry.

Love,
BRK

G...

I'm going to be attacked for "bragging" here, but I have to mention this.

There was a Warlord's Tournament some time ago... In the first two rounds, I had dueled two very tough opponents and both duels lasted longer than any other duels in the Tourney. Both were terribly close, and I consider myself lucky to have won them both.
Then, in the third round, it was announced I would duel Billy Ray.
I remember the crowd reaction very well. Many were sympathetic that I would draw so tough an opponent after the two exhausting duels I had previously. A few others were cautioning Billy to "take it easy" on me. I remember Billy saying to Kappy something to the effect of him feeling sorry for me having to face him after those two tough duels.
When we both stood in the Ring, he made a rather humorous comment concerning my salute of "Skill, Grace and Honor." saying something to the effect of fitting the bill for the first part, but that I had the wrong guy for the rest.
In the end, though no one thought I would, I won that duel. I started with a strong lead, and I held on to win.

Just because Billy Ray says he's going to beat someone, doesn't mean he will.

Ya ever consider makin a guest apperance at my school? Ye'd be welcomed. Heh I'd roll out the red carpet and everthing. ::walks away chuckling::

How is this? Because you said you didn't like Avery, who is my friend, as Overlord, and I wanted to know why? I wouldn't really call that using anything against you. If you think it is... then, well, whatever, I can't help that.

Drake,

For Christmas sakes lady, let the past lie. It seems that every time my name comes up you have to drag your lucky win out and dust it as if my losing a match to someone beneath me has never happened.

Get a grip on yourself munchkin. Take up a hobby, have a few kids...anything else that you can be proud of besides your brief five minutes in the sun with me.

Hey Billy...

I've got two kids.
I'll soon be starting my fourth cycle as the Standing's Keeper, and my tenth as a caller for the duels.
I'm running the Warlord's Tourney this time around.
I've held a Ring.
I'm married to the most wonderful person I've ever known in my life.

I've got plenty to be proud of, beating you is a rather small item on the list actually... but it was the one that applied to this debate.
