Honor

It saddens me.
People weep for the lost days of honor and respect... then name people like Billy Ray and Jesse Troyan as their heroes.
People cry out against the "darkness" that encroaches upon the Arena... then spill insult after insult from mouth and pen, never working to fight that "darkness."
Is this the community that I wanted to give my time too, all those cycles ago?

Sure is, toots. Now get in the kitchen, bake me a cake, and don't start up the "where's the honor" and "the arena is entering the dark ages" whine fest again. Boo hoo. What a crock.

Madame Silvertree,
Considering yuir own less than honorable concepts, nae ta mention yuir own jottings 'pon this ancient cork nae ta mention thee certes were nae around when honor and truth were held in the highest regard, tis utterly droll that thee wouldst inquire if'n this wast thee community thee didst give yuir time ta.
Madame, Billy Ray Karnafexx hast more honor in his little toe, than thee hae in yuir whole body an' hast earned his place an' the respect with which he be regarded. Jesse hast done the same.
Thee on the other hand, Madame, again whimper and whine and certes thee hae nae th' barest inklin' that thee an' thine ilk wouldst hae been laughed outta th' basement in those bygone days.

And babe, while you're baking that cake, make sure you wash and drip dry those dishes. When you're done with that you can come and give me a neck rub.
Just make sure you come back with a beer in your hand though.
Snapper head.

I've come to see that Honor is in the eye of the beholder.
One person seen as Honorable will be seen as dishonorable by another. For example:
Were I do say someone like, I don't know, Cletus was dishonorable, his brother would surely defend him and say Cletus is one of the most honorable people he knows.
It's all in the eyes of the beholder.
*Note: I'm not saying Cletus is dishonorable, simply picked him cause his was the first name that came into my mind when I was thinking of people I'm not entirely fond of.

G...
I have come to learn that, when asked how I am lacking in honor, only circular arguements lacking in substance result.
The burden of proof lays with the accuser.
I am certain that someone, somewhere saw, for example, Jesse's tossing of the Baron's Ring he won from Huma as an honorable act... and saw Agrenish's retirement of the Crown as dishonorable.
I find it amazing that those who continue to do nothing but issue baseless insults are seen as the height of Honor.
As for Billy Ray, beating him in a duel will change nothing... so challenging him to back up his words is pointless.

Wouldn't be too sure of anything. I wouldn't just say something because he is my brother. I would only say he is honorable if there was something to back up my words or no words to back up yours.

I disagree, Jona.
I was there when it happened, and I clearly recall the majority of those present were quite surprised that Jesse decided to toss the ring to the ground and retire it then and there. Maybe he told you he wasn't going to keep it, but I beleive that the majority didn't expect him to do that.
For the second part, I have to apologize, for it is late and I don't have my translator present, so I can't understand most of it. Would you mind if I asked you to gain possession of a magic quill that could help translating your accent and add the needed consonents and vowels to your written words? **No offense is intended here, folks, I honestly couldn't understand most of it.
As for Jesse and Agrenish, I see a clear comparison and similarity between Jesse gaining the ring and retiring it right away as Aggy's gaining the Overlord Crown and retiring it. The only differences?
1)One was Overlord, one was a Baron.
2)Jesse was Baron for 3 minutes, Aggy was Overlord for 3 days.
And honestly, no insults are intended with this message.

You on the other hand, conveniently and blithely disregard and continue to hold as honorable all the tampering you have done with the challenge processes and have done in past and seemingly continue to support all such perfidy. In point of fact, lassie, you have turned a blind eye to honor for quite a while and I have no hope that you shall ever come to understand either the simplest precepts of honor, nor that you shall ever come to understand that
indeed the ancient halls are falling ever more deeply into the abyss.
Not perfect, but I hope that helps a bit, G.

Wonderful job of translation Sartan...
Now perhaps you or someone can provide the proof behind these accusations? Or do we all get nothing but circular arguments again?

G,
Yuir memory seems ta fail thee. Fer one thin', Jesse nae threw th' ring ta th' ground, 'e didst toss it ta th' official. If'n th' majority present were ast thee claim surprised at 'is actions, tis quite certain th' majority hae nae anna understandin' 'o Jesse.
Tis those wh' claim a similarity t'wixt Jesse an' Agrenish wouldst seem ta be less adept in perceivin' 'em an' their motives. If'n thee recall, G, t'was Agrenish wast bemoanin' 'is fate an' whinin' th' 'e wast bein' put upon an' hae nae th' intestinal fortitude ta stand in th' face 'o adversity. Nay such canst be sad 'o Jesse's actions. Tis th' verra tellin' difference betwixt th' two 'o 'em.
Ah shall see 'bout obtainin' a fioner magical quill, G, th' 'er see if'n tis a professional 'bout wh' canst perhaps craft a fioner translator fer ye.

Sartan,
Och, laddie, thee didst a fione job 'o translatin'. Yuir 'ired!!!
Madame Silvertree,
Thee thineself hae admitted ta yuir own perfidy 'pon th' verra cork. Thee keep requestin' proof, lass. Th' proof be in yuir verra own 'and. Tis so like thee ta deny repeatedly yuir actions, yuir misstatements, yuir outright lies, an' thee hae also admitted ta th' destruction 'o letters wh', were they ta be known ta th' community at large, wouldst be further proof 'o yuir conduct.
Tis if'n annaone be attemptin' wh' thee term ast 'circular argument', Madame, tis thee. Tis a wonder ye canst maintain yuir equilibriam, Madame, wh' wi' all th' twistin' an' turnin' ye hae done in an attempt ta convince all th' yuir some'ow 'good' fer ta sport an' ta community.
Tis amusin', Madame, th' when yuir called ta account fer yuir actions, more oft th' nae thee attempt ta deftly swerve answerin' an' take ta castin out red 'errings. Wi' ta number thee hae cast 'bout, one wouldst thin' ye ta be a fish monger an' nae th' self proclaimed Lady ye do attest ta bein'.
