Valmion was sitting in the tavern sipping his coffee, reading over the resignation of yet another Questrion dueler when one of the guards walked in. "M'lord Valmion, it seems there is a crowd of reporters gathering outside the manor, asking for you," he says, nodding his head in respect.

"Reporters?", Valmion inquired, standing from where he sat at the table. "What would they be wishing to know," he quietly asked himself as he followed the guard down the hall towards the entrance to the manor.

Valmion walked out through the front doors of the manor and looked to the guard he had followed. "Let them into the courtyard, lets get them all out of the street. "As you wish m'lord," the guard replied and walked down the stairs and then down the path towards the front gates of the manor.

"This should be interesting," he said softly to himself as he straigtened his black surcoat, the silver unicorn displayed boldly on the front. The front gates opened and a flood of reporters came streaming in. There must have been fifty or so as he moved in a flood towards the manor house. "Oh god," Valmion said with a small laugh as they reached the bottom of the stairs and started screaming questions at him.

"Lord Valmion, is it true that Castle Questrion is a glowing crater in the ground?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that your son was killed in the explosion last eve in the lands of Questrion?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that you have hired assassins to kill Jeffrey Oakenshield?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that Moralitor the Black has made a pact with the devil?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that you payed Falon one million gold to duel for Questrion?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that you still think your wife is alive and that Alais d NS is the key?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that a crop circle appeared in the gardens of Questrion last eve?"

"Lord Valmion, is it true that genetic experiments are being performed in Questrion Manor to perfect the perfect dueler?"

"Lord Valmion, is it," the words stopped as Valmion lets loose a flash of blue anquar above the crowd of reporters.

"Enough, give me a second to respond to each of these questions," Valmion says, just shaking his head at how things are blown out of context in RhyDin.

"Now please, in an orderly fashion, first question," Valmion said, looking to one young woman in the front. She smiled and looked to her notes quickly, then back up to the Lord of Questrion.

"Lord Valmion, what can you tell us about the Battle of Castle Questrion," she asked, her face still glowing from being the first called upon. The crowd behind her buzzed with soft conversation about the question asked, but all had pencils ready for Valmion's words.

"From what I understand, it's a mess," Valmion replied, walking down the marble stairs a few steps to speak on a more personal note to the crowd. "It seems that Major Ssark and the Alliance have quite an arial battle taking place over Questrion. There are reports of literaly thousands of high tech spacecraft, as well as mechinized infantry on the ground. There are reports of armies of demons numbering in the hundreds of thousands," he said, his
eyes on the woman that asked the question, with brief glances to the rest of the crowd. "I would be safe to say, that there will likely be nothing left of Castle Questrion, or the city that Timeron Doogal built, should not a miracle take place to change the course of events as they now unfold," he finished, stepping back up one step.

"Next question," he asks, looking out over the crowd of reporters once more.

Valmion points out a man in the middle of the crowd, and he raises his pencil and half shouts his question. "Lord Valmion, what of the early reports that your son died in the Major's intial attack on the gate of Castle Questrion," he then readies his pencil for Valmion's reply.

"I have been monitering the battle from within the manor, and I saw the attack in question. I know only that Arlingond's instincts allowed him to teleport himself somewhere else, just before the KDME was released within the castle," Valmion replies, loud enough for all to hear.

"The only other thing I can say at present, is that I know my son is alive, but I have no knowledge of his whereabouts," he added, stepping back up one more step and once more looking out over the crowd.

"Next question," he asks, seeming to be glad that some of the rumors might be cleared up with all of this.

A man raises his hand.

"New Auravian Free Press." he says.

"Lord Valmion, why has the monarchy decided to return to Questrion at this time?"

"For the monarchy, as you would call them, own the lands of Questrion. With Timeron Doogal leaving the lands, I feel I have every right to call them my own once more. This I did not do while Timeron Doogal was in Questrion, then I tried to negotitate the return of the land," he says, seeming to stop, then suddenly preceeding further.

"You see, the lands of Questrion need to be restored. Many say that under Lord Doogal my people were liberated. Truth is, there were none of my people in Questrion. They were killed in Major Ssark's last invasion, and I have never had more than the inhabitants of two castles that I called subjects in Questrion. So the stories of abandoning my people are but that, stories, for that is the other reason I return to RhyDin," he says, continuing to
watch the reporter that asked the question.

"I have my subjects to find a home for. Two hundred thousand of them, now camped on the plains of New Mountainside, awaiting Questrion's liberation. These are my subjects, those I have sworn to protect, and it is to this end that I seek Questrion as their home," he says, then looks to the crowd once more.

"Next question," Valmion calls out to the reporters.

((Re-posted from Castle Questrion for Perrinis))A semi-scraggly looking young man, wearing a trenchcoat with several buttons and what not pushes up to a place where he can shout a question."What about General Perrinis and his Garrison? It's been said that he was promised land to autonomize a sovereign state in return for Garrison assistance in this conflict."((Yes, I do know Valmion probably wasn't privy to Adonai's offer and I personally do know everything in general, but I wanna know what Valmion knows and thinks.))

A guard exited the manor after the last question was asked Valmion, and before the Lord of Questrion could respond, whispered something to Valmion who nodded and gave the guard further instructions. The guard acknowledged the orders and went back into the manor. Valmion turned and looked to the crowd of reporters.

"As of this moment, a cease fire has been commanded for the Battle of Castle Questrion, all Alliance forces have been ordered to withdraw from Questrion lands and air space. This cease fire has been arranged by the royal family with ambassadors from The Brotherhood," Valmion relays information to the reporters, and then looks to the reporter who had asked about General Perrinis.

"I was quickly briefed on Lord Adonai's promise of land to the General, but yet it seems Lord Adonai has retreated from the battle he instigated in Questrion, thus leaving a void in the negotiations. As soon as the details of the cease fire are finalized, and I have Questrion forces once again occupying the captital, I shall meet with the General and work out the details of repayment of services," the Lord of Questrion explains, pulling his black
and silver cloak about his shoulders, he looks to the crowd.

"This will conclude the press conference, as matters of extreme importance need my immediate attention," he says, in a somewhat apologetic tone, then turns and nods to the two guards at the doors to the manor. "I want security in and around the manor doubled until further notice," he says to them as he steps through the doorway and into the manor house.

Valmion was being briefed on the cease fire when a messenger came running into the conference room. "M'lord Valmion, there has been an accident at the castle, it's your son, sire," the messenger said, his eyes showing his concern.

"What has happened to my son," Valmion exclaimed, standing quickly from where he sat.

"He was struck by a stone from the castle wall m'lord, and he has yet to awaken from the blow," the messenger continued, then stepped back, signifying he had no further news.

Valmion turned to one of the guards, "Inform m'lord Ulath that he is in charge of the manor until I return, I am needed in Castle Questrion". The guard nodded in response, turning and exiting the conference room to inform the Steward of Questrion of Valmion's departure.

Valmion then let his hand drop to the hilt of his blade and he vanished in a flash of blue light. He reappeared in the castle courtyard, looking about at the confusion of guards and medics coming and going from the city that Timeron Doogal had built.

"Over here Valmion," he heard Thoradain's voice and turned, seeing the dwarf and a couple others standing around the prone body of his son. He quickly made his way in that direction, whispering to himself along the way, "Please, let the Valar show mercy on my son".
