Well Jona, I believe that you have been dying for me to step out into the sunlight and speak for myself, then so I shall please you.
First of all in all of the time that I have been a patron of DoS I have never stepped off the ring while dueling. I do value and follow the rules of the game. How ever I may be guilty of greeting patrons within a ring to that I admit, but tell me oh Lady of Justice if you as so much have proof of me stepping off a ring before a duel is officially over then I shall accept what I am being accused of. Other wise you yourself can ask any RDI if they
have ever seen me stepping off a ring while dueling. As for me greeting patrons from within a ring, I see nothing wrong with that its not my fault that I am known by a lot of people. I do find it rude and I am sure that a lot would agree with me that if someone waves to you and greets you and you don't reply it is considered rude.
As for your comments, there are those who have given a chance and got to know me well that would say otherwise. I am grateful to my teacher for trying to defend me, but my silence is not enough evidence for you to convict me Jona. My pure silence is mainly based on the fact that I unlike you Jona don't go around looking for defects on every single person. And as for my behavior towards you, your insolence and put downs of other patrons bore me.
No one is nor will ever be great or perfect as you try to make yourself seem. Unlike you Jona, I do look for the good of other people. I am the one who extends a hand to help out and teach beginners that always come in search for help but most just ignore them and turn them away thinking that they are ignorant beings just because they don't know the rules nor the ways of the game. As you can see everybody has a good and a bad side of themselves. As
for me I am not perfect and I don't intend myself to be because one learns as much from mistakes and as for any further comments, don't expect to hear another reply from me.

That was a riot, a great satire of Angel's stupidity.
I think whoever wrote it exaggerated her idiocy, though. She's isn't that moronic.

You should never take your eyes off your opponent. You're being rude to your opponent, and NOT rude to the friend that tries to greet you. He SHOULD understand that all is locked out from the mind, within a ring.
I also believe G brought up this issue, not Jona.
Why was this post even directed at her in the first place?
I'm lauging.

It's considerably more rude to show disrespect to your opponent by taking your attention from them in the midst of a duel. It implies that you feel your opponent isn't worthy of your focused attention; it additionally implies that you don't think your opponent is capable of taking advantage of your distraction to strike a blow.
Rest assured, were you in a ring with me, and turned to wave at someone, you'd find the flat of my blade delivering a quick reminder of just what it is you're supposed to be concentrating on.
If your concern is that you might be perceived as rude, then consider how considerate those who are distracting you while you are engaged in combat with live steel are being.
Regards,
Ian Rex.

Ariadne, Angel, Goddess and Keeper of Dreams.
Madame,
Firstly, let me disabuse thee 'o th' notion th' Ah wouldst be in anna distress let alone dyin' fer thee ta step up an' speak out. Madame, rest assured, Ah took nae distress at all either at yuir silence or at yuir ramblin's.
Tis further amusin' th' thee on ta one 'and consider me insolent an' mine comments borin', yet 'pon th' other 'and thee do so to "please" me. How amusin'.
Secondly, Madame, only those what hae known me a long while an' an' be considered close friends do address me by mine diminuative. Thee, Madame, unless it hae escaped yuir wit, aire nae among them. Perhaps thee shouldst begin thine lessons in courtesy by learning tha'. Tis amusin' thee wouldst comment 'pon wh' thee perceive ast insolence, when, thee Madame hae displayed such by addressing me by mine diminuative.
Madame, be thee then insinuating that the Barons Gnort and Daelin be liars? Madame, I myself hae witnessed thee leave ta ring mid duel ast well show a repeated lack 'o respect unta manna ' thine opponents. Tis perchance those thee claim ta be instructin' hae been instructed by thee th' such behavior ist ta be lauded an' accepted? Tis further rather amusing thee wouldst wish me ta ask an official when Ah hae ta evidence 'o me own eyes. Madame, Ah
am neither blind nor deaf. Convict thee by thine silence, Madame? What an utterly ludicrous statement. Tis perchance thee believe thineself on trial? Tis all annaone needs mus' do ist ta witness yuir behavior.
Madame, thine defects need nae be searched out, they be glaringly obvious ta anna wi' eyes, ears an' a modicum 'o intelligence. Game, Madame? Be thee truly so lackwitted ta believe th' meetin' an opponent in ta ring who ist bearing a sharp an' deadly weapon be a mere game? Aire thee entirely daft or jus' dimwitted, or perchance thee hae been stickin' th' pen 'o yuirs in yuir mouth an' ta ink be causin' thee some ill effects?
Ast ta finding it rude ta nae greet folk whilst thee be amidst a duel, Madame, tis ast Ian hae writ, tis rudeness 'o ta first order on yuir part. Perchance this be somethin' else thee be 'instructin' yuir friends an' newcomers ast being proper? Madame, tis Ah know manna folk, yet rest assured when Ah enter ta ring, mine total attention be 'pon mine opponent, nae only in an effort ta keep from bein' perforated by a blade bu' ast well ta show mine
opponent all ta respect wh' be right an' proper.
Madame, hae thee th' wit ta realize it, thee wouldst find that tis thee wh' be ta borin' one. Tis ta yuir comments th' thee extend a 'and ta newcomers an' help an' teach them, mores ta pity th' ta likes 'o thee be instructin' them. Tis jus' wh' be needed, ta likes 'o thee ta set ta tone fer th' new comers. May th' Fates be so kind ast ta provide someone wi' more wit than thee ta see ta apprisings those wh do first venture inta ta basement.
Madame, Ah neither expect nor require anna comment from thee. Shall Ah set up a cheer fer thee that thee deigned ta comment ta th' community atall? How utter droll, Madame, an' tis thee wh' seek titled rank? I presume the glaringly illogical tenor 'o yuir comments hae entirely escaped thee.

<<First of all in all of the time that I have been a patron of DoS I have never stepped off the ring while dueling>>
I hafta agree wit' the others Angel that to take yer focus oft yer opponent while dueling them is more rude than waving hi. Tis the same as stepping out of the ring as far as I am concerned.
I do nae consider meself rude ifn someone outside of the ring is callin' out me name and I ignore them. Me concentration is on me opponent and I consider the one outside of the ring displaying tis act to be rude in fact.
However, I will say that when ye are workin' as a queuekeeper, ye do that job verra well and greet the patrons as should be done.
Sincerely,
Marit Takcouma
