To the Community.

Dexter Montoya, by virtue of his impressive performance in the Warlord's Tourney, has won the right to wear the Twelfth Ring. He has declared himself Neutral to the Overlord.

Cassius Maximius, by virtue of his own impressive performance in the Warlord's Tourney, has won the right to an intercession free challenge to the Overlord. He has declared that he wishes to decline this right, finding his placement in the Tourney prize enough.

Well dueled, everyone.

Special thanks to Ria and Janella from the Duel of Fists Staff, as well as Dillon and Marit from our own Staff, for their swift and expert calling.

Community,

As many know I am very sick right now. I want to thank all of you that have sent me well wishes, as I stay at Oakenshield manner. It was my full intention to see the finals last night, yet some people would not allow me to leave the manner for my own good.
Let me congratulate Dexter Montoya on a super showing. It was Dex that really became one of my first friends within this sport long ago when I first arrived. I could not think of a better person to win the tournament. The former Overlord still has his skill as can be seen, and I am honored that he is wearing the 12th, the ring I once wore.
Cas, my friend, you have honored me. Placing second in this tourney is a special thing. I wish I could have been there to watch you fight your way through. You friendship has touched me greatly in your choice. To those saying there is no honor, they only need look at you. I never once asked you to do this, or even talked to you about this, and yet you have put friendship above personal gain. You may not be a baron right now, but know that your
actions have secured your loyalty in my heart.

I wish to thank the officials for their time in moderating the tournament and in the fellow competitors for their participation. Best wishes my friends.

A short note posted after reading the announcement with a grin.

Congradulations Dex! A fine win for one who deserves no less. I am sure you will wear the 12th with honor, pride and dignity.

And congradulations to you as well Cas. And an honorable decision regarding the prize you won in the Tourney. It is warming to see that honor is held over possible gain.

Damn fine show, Dex! I just regret that I have not been around to see it. Hold the ring well, and defend it boldly. I am glad to see you as a Baron.

There are two people that I know that I feel are prime examples of excellent barons.

One is AJ

Dexter is the other.

I think that's enough said.
