The young student boldly questioned Unagi after archery practice. "What is problem that newest retainer brings such commotion?"

"Prob'rem? Commotion? What are these?"

"There is much... discussion. Especially since she has become daimyo."

"Ah so desu-ka. But she has become, indeed, hai?" Unagi regarded the student evenly, and added, "which is more than we can say of you, hai?"

Upon reflection Unagi continued, "And she in her first attempt. I, not unti'r my third, heya."

"But..." the student started and Unagi cut him off with a wave of the hand.

"Remember Chinese proverb. Outside noisy, inside empty, heya?"
