Patrons,
Greetings. I have set forth the second challenge of my career here. No, I have not challenged G'nort for the Ninth, as some would suspect. Even though I enjoyed holding the Ninth, I have no desire to try and remove one of the most honorable and worty Barons of the Sport today.
I do wish to inform ye all though, that I have set forth my challenge to Baroness Ariadne for the right to hold the Eighth Ring. I feel that the Baroness is inexperienced and I wish to, at the very least, provide some experience for her. I believe that I am more worthy of the ring, and wish to return it into honorable hands, since it has been tainted by several unworthy holders in the past few months.
I now await confirmation of the peer wins and response from the Baroness.

Having attempted this myself..
The Baroness is unable to grasp the simplest forms on Honor and Respect. She is an unwilling student. Therefore, let her be thrown to the dogs.
Every attempt I made at teaching her anything was either ignored, or simply redirected elsewhere, but nothing stayed.
That is why I personally feel that she is an unworthy Baroness.
For one has to want to learn, and she has given no indication that she wants to.

Yes, I did a great wrong, a large mistake indeed, while I held the 8th, if you do not know, I destroyed the ring, in a bit of anger for being screwed out of it, but that's another story all together. Things have changed a great deal since the old ways, if you do not believe me, then read the post of the many *Honorable* people that will insult me for this, don't get me wrong, there are a few that won't. There are honorable people left in Rhydin,
but not many. There are the ones who deserve respect, then there are the ones who think they deserve respect, and think they have honor, but that simply isn't the truth.
Angel is not without honor, but she is unpopular with the *honorable* people, and after myself and Damon holding the ring, it will be good sport for them to take a grab at it, under the flag of bringing their *honor* to it.

I remember time before Rings. To my great sorrow, I made no lasting friends, but remember well days of old.
How is it good to challenge one for dishonor of other?
In old days, challenge was done to increase standing, why does one need any other reason?
Warrior who is worthy will hold rank for many seasons. Warrior who is unworthy will receive many challenge until defeated.

I remember quite a few challenges for rank among the Warlords in the first years of my career. Some were based on honor, yes, but just as many (if not more) were based, simply, upon seeking a higher rank among the Warlords ... something I think this place should consider going back to given the amount of people able to lay challenge to baronies on a whim.
