"and then went on to *batter* the Honorary Baroness, Bryena, 5-2 in 7 rounds (Officiated by Ria)."

Mistake! Bryena was the Honorary Overlord! Yes, I battered the Honorary Overlord!

Barons, Officials, Drey,
You know I can never turn away a challenge, it is not in my nature. I accept your challenge Drey, with maybe a need for clarification on a few concerns and gladly I will respond to a few issues you have spoken your say on.
My pardon for being longwinded, as its not my way. Albeit far from me to believe that I have to explain my whereabouts atimes when you are not about, I will do so if you feel the need to know. I can not deny my times in the rings have dwindled, nor will I try to justify anything I do, but because of the shortened days for the duels and an unkind winter that had troubled our eastern landholdings to the point of bare survival, I have had to keep my
travels to duel for my pleasure to a minimum. That does not mean that I am stalling in my duties as Baron, and if I am correct, Senior Baron now. Call it what you will, and I am sure someone will claim it to be a cop out, but that is neither here nor there for I can live with doing what needed to be done in a time of crisis. I have been around, but readily admit to not dueling much, but you can catch me in the Arena long enough for at least a drink
of Hubie's special blend Tea he knows I favor. But I must confess I did duel last week and it was you that I happened to cross blades with at least once, this was not two or three weeks past..but I think maybe I dueled then too but just dont recall seeing you about when I was. As to dueling when challenged..well of course I will duel when challenged, that kinda comes with the title wouldnt you say?

When you say rarely involved in the board activities..Clarify this for me please. Board as in the cork? Just in case thats what you mean, I am literate and do peruse the cork at my leisure. A wise man knows when to keep his thoughts to himself and when to set forth his words for all to see. I may not necessarily deem it my duty to respond to every post but you will see my ramblings posted every now and then. If its the Baron's Council you mean, then
I am unsure as to how much you have been actually in on. As far as I know I have been "involved" on just about every issue that has been presented forth to the council during my tenure as Baron of the First, my apologies for not including you on that missive list at any other time than when you held the 6th. I cant recall missing any Council meetings or communiques that have passed amongst the Council members, unless maybe I was left out of anothers
missive list which I would hope is not the case. And if my memory serves me correct, I do recall offering my Ring as a prize in the recent Commoners Tourney, Avery please correct me if I am wrong but the Lady Lisana Marie Colestae was the one that held the ring for two weeks. I think that classifies itself as "involved" on some level I suppose.
I do appreciate the compliment of the respectful challenge and look forward to seeing you in the ring. This has been in no way meant to be an offensive writ for I do hold respect for you to say simply that you just want another ring. I will be sending a missive on to set the particulars of the match.

Duel with honor

Upon the night of Sunday, the 20th, a challenge match shall commence at 9:30 PM (est) between I, Drey D'erest Sanchez Starke, and Baron Zafiroo Turidan for the right to wear the First Baron's ring. Poison has agreed upon refereeing the match.

The challenge on my side of the ring shall be as follows...

I'll be wearing a crimson sash around my waist and arrive within my old breastplate I wore in my previous days of battle; though I will not be dueling with my cuirass. Beneath (which I *will* be dueling in!) consists of a shirt as black as pitch and the crimson sash still wrapped about my torso. This will represent my colors; crimson and black.
My second shall be the Warlord Deluthan and my Lady of Honor shall be a lady known as Aerlie. I, of course, will be wielding my usual blade, "Ravenous."

Duel well, Baron Turidan.
