::blinks at Jeffrey's reply, dumbfounded::
"Once again, when challenged, you make some pointless, petty reply rather dan one which addresses da challenge against you. We have now provided you both with a more appropriate definition of "fact" as well as situations when "I believe" is not necessary ta make a statement of opinion. I will assume yer lack of a counter argument is a concession on yer part admitting yer fallacy in logic."
Wait one gods-be-damned minute! What in the Nine Hells was petty about me telling you that it wasn't my intent to downplay Ian's point? It *truly* was not my intent.
And, while omission is NOT consession, I do in fact see everyone's point. I still believe it to be a matter of courtesy, but the world isn't going to end if we don't come to an agreement.

Morgan,
I understand your points, truly I do. However this is getting nowhere. I'm sorry I even brought it up.

General Public:
In case it matters to any of you, I've challenged Jesse for the 4th.

People can state details as facts which are not facts. Or people can make an error in their interpretation of the facts. Or they can mistake the facts completely. They can even lie about them. Does that answer your question at all?

Actually, I am pretty sure I said something along these lines at least once. I realize I am old, but I don't think I am senile yet.

I think I have done this at least once. I am sure I will again, as well. That is precisely my point, and I am sure I will repeat it again in the future.

Actually, in the most technical definition, a fact is a statement which can be proven or disproven. Something that is definitely true or false, objectively and not subjectively. If I say 'Morgan's fair is green', that is a statement of fact. It may not be true, and the actual facts may differ, but the statement is a statement of fact and not opinion. It is, however, an inaccurate statement of the facts.
