An entire week later, still, he was enraged. He had lost, he had not been beaten, but he lost. The man outwitted him, he had conned the con-man. Christopher was back with Avery now, safe, happy. More so than that, however, he had lost his upper hand on the overlord. Something must be done, retaliation must be taken. He researched the man, learned his background, his future plans, he even took it upon him to locate his family, and look into them. The
baron would pay, for sure.

It was a chilled night, the moon absent. Peaceful almost, with a gloomy overcast. Hidden in the shadows, he waited. He waited until at last the man returned home, as he knew he would. At the pivotal moment, he revealed himself, startling the baron. Though unarmed to the eye, and unthreatening for the most part, he spoke.

"At tol' yeh ah woul' find yeh."

The baron attempted a reply, but was sharply cut off.

"Yeh bit off more then yeh can chew, an' now ah em back to get redemption. Deh nigh' of your challenge, yeh will lose. No' onl'eh will yeh lose, but yeh will le' deh man shut you ou'. I wan' people to know yeh threw it. Punishmen', shoul' yeh fail to comply, will resul' in deh loss of life... nae your own, bu' deh blood will stai' your hands, indee'. Yeh have been warned, boy."

He slipped into the shadows, the steady rapping of horse's hooves could immediately be heard punctuating the silence. He could not be followed, and he knew the baron wouldn't attempt it. His plan was underway at the very moment the threat was offered ... now all there was to do, was wait.

((OOC Note: and no, of course he won't really throw the fight, the SL will twist depending on the real outcome of the match.))

::he looked at Bargos when he appeared and quirked a brow at his "demand". He was still injured from the fight with Bargos...he was stupid for removing the wards...but he did it to be honorable. He did his best to hide the pain as he spoke::

There is nothing that you could do to me Bargos that would cause me to lose my ring. That is a fact.

::with that said Bargos set off without anything further...no one could cause him to lose the ring that he could think of::
