Troyan.
Re-read Young Master Evermeadow's letter. My initial ruling was not overturned so, perforce, I am not being bitter about something that did not happen. Perhaps you are the bitter one.
Starfare.
For one who so zealously guards what histories you have compiled, refusing to show them even to the most interested of parties, you have nothing to say on who teaches what of Traditions and Histories.
The proof is here on the boards, placed below for ease of reference.
Lady Starfare.
The Church would like to prevail upon your good will to make copies of the archives at Arda Castle. The monks of the Chapel Of The Lord's Grace have completed their work of translating The Holy Bible to elvish and would be most eager to take up this task.
Brother Willem, scribing at the request of Cardinal MontClair.
Your reply was sharp and rude.
Ast to thine request, Brother Willem, in that I am completely unfamiliar with the Church thou servest or with the work of thine monks ast well ast the delicate nature of the tomes, scrolls and parchments extant within the vast archives at Arda, I must, for the nonce, decline thine request.
I do however admit some little curiosity with regard to the Church and order of monks thou hast named ast well ast some curiosity ast to the task thee hae stated wast undertaken. To what Lord dost make reference? To what holy book dost make reference? To what dialect of the myriad Elven tongues wast this work translated? Indeed, I am most curious ast to the reason thine monks wouldst undertake such a task. Be they of the Elven species? Perhaps
thee wouldst be willing to permit a perusal of a few pages of said translation whereby the scribes at Arda may view the expertise and artistry of thine order.
Jonalyn Nenshen Starfare
Should anyone wish copies of the older Standings, or what histories I possess, they are freely available to anyone... no matter who they are.
Lady Drake, aka the Gryphon.

"When did Agrenish come back, and why is he talking like he's illiterate?"
He always talked and wrote like that, Cas.
In either case, while I have already spoken to Jona about this (and she kindly informed me of the tradition), I will be honest when I say I have a problem with the tradition when one baron can assume the privileges as soon as he gained the ring, but he has to wait a week before the biggest drawback can take effect; the chance of losing the title. I feel there is an imbalance; whether you call it tradition, fairness, privileges, the dog made me
decide this, I don't like it.
I do care about the traditions and histories of the Duel of Swords; I hope that's understood, but I feel this is a case where it's wrong.

Nah. He always talked and wrote dumb things, for the express purpose of shocking
people and thus gathering attention to himself, but I can at least recall him being understandable.
And why *do* certain people write like they talk?

G'nort, get over yourself. Some of us are sick of others speaking for the supervisor.
If Drey(kewyn) has a problem with my objection to him speaking in the supervisor's place, I am sure he is more than capable of defending himself.
Oops, I made a potshot.

"Thee bu' dig thineself a deeper 'ole wi' yuir mos' recent jottings. Were thee nae bothered by ta challenge, sirrah, thee wouldst nae hae made an' attempt ta sully th' 'onor an' integrity 'o Simini. Be thou so ignorant ta believe hae e'en such ast Simini, one whom Ah 'old ast friend, hae issued improper challenge, th' Ah wouldst nae hae brought ta matter ta light?"
I wasn't at all bothered, really. Challenge whenever. The thought just came across me while reading some of the previous posts, "Oh, what if she challenged too early?" I didn't think she would dishonor anything, it was just a thought. If you proceed to believe I'm accusing her of dishonoring a ring, I believe you've missed my intent and made your own conclusions.
"Tis rather amusin' ta read th' thee hae pondered th' loss 'o yuir title, nae long after garnerin' it. Be th' line a'formin' e'en now, Starke? Be th' 'eat rising ta test yuir mettle, lout?"
No heat. It just crossed my mind as I read over previous posts. I was just glad I had overcame Lupton.

Get over -myself- Morgan? The only one who has anyone to get over is you. Some of us are sick of personal vendettas that are petty and sad.
And Jona, I don't know who commented on me taking a trip, nor do I care. Offer my services to the Orphanage, you say? Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Besides, I don't have the time to hold your hand. I never said I was appointed as the elder statesmen, because if I were, it likely would have been you who did the appointing, as you seem to be the end all be all of the Arena. And I know more about what goes on down in the battlegrounds
than you think, so don't go trying to say I don't know what transpires.
As for that "vacation", Don't worry, I'm better than the DoS, and will be gone, out of your hairs soon after my challenge is over. I've got better things in my life to deal with then a bunch of overgrown five year olds saying "Me, me, me" all the time.
Goodbye.
G
P.S. You all win.

Drakey,
Well, let's see. You made a ruling on Drey, that ruling didn't stick, and now you're whining about what's happening with Drey. Those are all facts. I think it's pretty clear that, as usual, you're the one being the bitter twit. And to think they pay you to be such an insufferably annoying human being. Like I said before, just take the result like the man you are.

Congratulations on leaving Gnort. It's about time. Not only will we no longer have to listen to the ramblings of your pea-sized brain, but more importantly Drake will have one less blind crusader to support all of the totally idiotic things she does and says. You're doing the world a huge favor.
And for the record, you insulting "personal vendettas" is one of the most comical things I've ever read. Just because you consider Jonalyn or Morgan to be the bad people in this regard, doesn't make it any less true that you carry the same kind of personal vendettas against them because of their interactions with your mindless friend. Stop being such an absurd little hypocrite.

Drakey Poo,
Dost now speak fer Brother Willem, Madame? If'n th' be ta case, thee hae conveniently failed to add th' Brother Willem nor anna 'o th' monks 'o th' Chapel 'o th' Lord's Grace didst deign ta supply anna documents nor didst gi' anna indication th' th' Church or ta monks hae anna expertise in 'andlin' delicate tomes.
One wouldst be unwise ta permit unskilled an' unknown personages ta 'andle such delicate tomes wi' out knowin' if'n they hae anna capability in th' regard. Unlike thee, perhaps, Drakeypoo, both mine 'usband an' mineself prefer th' educated an' proven professionals be given access ta th' vast trove at Arda, nae stumblin' bumpkins 'o unproven ability.
Ah find it rather amusin' th' Brother Willem ne'er placed anna further comment 'pon ta cork nor wast anna missive delivered unta th' kiosk Ah maintain outside ta duelin' 'ouse which wouldst gi' anna indication 'o 'is chagrin nor anna indication th' ta monks hae anna expertise in their profession.
Yuir bitterness be apparent, Drakeypoo, indeed yuir rulin' wast overturned. Thee wouldst hae lain penalty upon ta Baron ast well ast denyin' 'im ta right ta challenge, which by long standin' tradition hae been known ta th' community.
Sadly, Madame, it wouldst appear th' both thee an' young Master Evermeadow hae little knowledge 'o th' traditions, perhaps havin' sought infermation from some wh' hae little knowledge themselves.

Jesse,
Son, what you say shows just how little you know. I didn't say Jona and Morgan are bad people, I said they've got personal vendettas, which is blatantly true. Don't go putting words in my mouth, kiddo. If you want to know who I think are "bad people" in the arena, just ask me.
And I am far from a blind crusader for Drake. I defend her on times when I think she has that right to her opinion, yet gets heavily slammed for it. Why don't you take the time to actually go back and read how much I've defended her on how many subjects, and stop acting like I defend every little thing she does.
I'd say the only hipocrite here is you, but there's so many, it's rediculous.
