With no Malice

Overlord,
It has been sometime since I have set foot in a ring. My skills may have declined, though I have taken on three of my former master's students in his passing. They have done a decent job in keeping me in shape. I have recently reinstated myself to the dueling and would like to test myself. I heard you state today during a match that you keep winning, and I heard other such statements. You seem confident in yourself, and I would like to test my
blade against yours and see if my skill can surpass your own. I hold no malice in this match, but I only wish to test out my sword against he who is thought to be the best. I shall await your word.

This could be a grand event, one I would like to watch myself. I would be glad to help you two set this up if you like. Good to hear you are well Magnus.

Really now...
Any man can lose a single duel. I have seen Avery lose many... and win many more. Did he actually say he does not lose? I sincerely doubt it.
So he brags a little... many others do as well. Avery has accomplished what no one has ever done.
In all of the recorded history of the three duels, only two others have ever achieved the highest titles of all three sports... and no one has ever held two, much less all three titles at the same time before Avery.
Worthy of a little bragging, especially in comparison to what I hear being bragged about usually.

Damn Drake, Magnus meant no ill will, and if they do happen to duel and he wins does it mean anything at all? Hell no. Is a good excuse to get drunk with a bunch of people and watch two men swing long sharp steel objects at each other, yes. Would it be entertainment, I would think so.
Didn't your mother ever tell you if you had nothing intelligent to say, say nothing at all? And no, don't take my words like a stick up the ass, I don't feel like jumping on the band wagon and argueing with you. Anyhow, I am banking that Avery knocks the rust off Magnus in a ten round 5-3 win. I still owe Lyon a crap load of money, anytakers?
Gunth
P.S. All you punks who ran up my tab are going to get yours. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. Maybe not even in a few years when it is all long and forgotten, but I will remember. Muhahaha

I don't think these two will swing long, sharp, steel objects at eachother. It's just not going to happen. Why?
Because Avery uses a staff, and for the most part, Magnus uses a hatchet. Shame on you and your ignorance, Gunthar. Heh.
Anyhow, as this isn't a challenge, I don't really have a preference as to who wins. I don't like the bragging, but that's me. I still respect Avery as a person, and know he will give Magnus a run for his money.

Baron Gunthar.
Leaving aside what my mother did or did not do, my post was based on the many comments I've read and posted against Avery.
Let the young man have his day in the sun, he's proven he deserves it.
As for Magnus meaning no ill will... given their often less-than-pleasant rivalry in the past, I am not so sure of that.

Damn woman, what part of an entertaining duel don't you understand? Just because some people hold onto grudges like their last remaining brain cells does not mean Magnus does. Avery does not have to do this if he doesn't want to. So leave it to him if he wants to decide if he would enjoy this or not. Now hush, no more, please.

Magnus,
As I have always said, your skill is to be respected. I think that during our battles we have at least that common factor. A respect. Let me be the first to welcome you back. Of course I will step up to your challenge, as I have always in the past. This will allow you to see where your skills are at this point, and give me a chance to fight a worthy foe.
Of course, this goes for anyone wishing to test themselves on a given night.
