Not that it matters,

But this challenge match was stupid. All anyone should really have done is rolled their eyes.

Sidartha,

I have no idea who yer might be. I think we never fought or exchanged words kind or otherwise. The only knowledge I have of yer existence is the missives yer have recently corked.

In other words yer not in my world, if yer wish to be, come on by and introduce yerself.

"In other words yer not in my world, if yer wish to be, come on by and introduce yerself."

Well, that's certainly the attitude to have, isn't it? The world doesn't revolve around ye, and as someone fairly new ye should show some respect to people who have been here way longer than ye.

Galin,

Me world, such as it is, be bound by the DoS and the fighting rings. I know not who Sidartha may be so I would have no reason to speak good or ill of her.

How long a person may have been here does not entitle them to any undo respect from me. Yer know, and most everyone else knows I come to the rings to fight, and that I do with as much gusto and skill as I can muster. By my records I have fought 96 times this cycle. We fought in the rings the other night and yer beat me soundly. I learned a new thing from it for which I thanked yer.

Anyone what has a problem with me, has provoked me first and I will not ever back down. Indeed, for those who set store by such things me motto has been "If yer dont like me leave me be, or yer can kiss my arse"

Jonalyn Starfare and I dont particularly like each other, but that is between me and her mostly. Anyone what wants to dip their oar in them waters should not be expectin courtesy from me fer it.

"Anyone what has a problem with me, has provoked me first and I will not ever back down. Indeed, for those who set store by such things me motto has been "If yer dont like me leave me be, or yer can kiss my arse""

In other words, you are saying, "If there's a problem, he started it." Funny, I thought those in the military were above resorting to childish defenses.
Here's some free advice, since I have the painful feeling you won't learn it yourself anytime soon: If you aren't liked it's because
a) something you did
b) something you said
c) something you are.
What I find funny is how you say you will never back down, while you have just enough courage to wait until Jona leaves the arena before talking about her behind her back. Do you also say you get cats out of trees by throwing rocks at them? Just curious. Tucking your tail between your legs until Jona leaves just doesn't seem like the way I'd represent "never backing down," but that's just me.

Finally, I feel bad for you if your life revolves around the Duel of Swords. Enjoying it is one thing, but to have your world bound by what transpires in the Duel of Swords sounds a bit extreme. There is more to life than just dueling, something I figured a military man would know. I mean, I am hoping you've heard of such things as family, friends, pets...

Oh well, perhaps my standards are too high when it comes to prioritizing things in life.

As frightening as it is, this kid seems to remind me of a certain person who had this same 'chip on his shoulder, everybody else is wrong, and things revolve around me' attitude. Can ye guess who it is I'm thinking of? Scary, isn't it? Let's hope he doesn't go down that same path.

Var,

I am a professional soldier which is a plain and simple fact. I have made no claim to great skills, but it is my life. Me private life away from the DoS in the alterverse is not something I would discuss.

Indeed Jonalyn knows well the depth of our mutual dislike and I have no problem speaking ill of her in or out of her presence. If yer have a problem with this then yer know well my motto, since yer quoted it.

I admire your skill and your sense of honor, but that does not give you any right to try and establish what I can or can not do.

I have ambitions, which will make me Warlord before long, but I do look higher then that. If we can not be friends then let us at least be not enemies.

I was not asking you about your private life. I was making sure you knew there was more to life than the Duel of Swords. After all, you said yourself your world was bound by DoS.

"I admire your skill and your sense of honor, but that does not give you any right to try and establish what I can or can not do. "
You're right, I don't have the right to tell you what you can or cannot do. I'm not God, and don't have any inclination to become him anytime soon. I do, however, reserve the right to judge a person by his or her actions, thoughts, and words. Especially if you do plan to go higher than Baron, you will need to be prepared to face judgment by what you do.

"I have ambitions, which will make me Warlord before long, but I do look higher then that. If we can not be friends then let us at least be not enemies. "
I have my own list of people I despise, and will freely add any names to it if that person has caused me to dislike him or her. You don't want to be on someone's "enemies" list, then make sure you don't become that person's enemy. I can tell you now, though, you'll go nuts if you try to avoid becoming the enemy of everyone.
Right now, I don't like you as a person. That's pretty much as bluntly as I can put it. You can either try to change (which I don't recommend; I should not be the center of your morals) or you can accept it and go on.

:nods:: So be it then, me to mine and you to yours. But yer dont know all the turns of the wheel and one day yer may have need of me and those that will one day follow me lead.

I tell yer straight out that Jonalyn is not to be trusted and she will one day cause yer great harm. I am fey, and this I know to be true.

Believe me. When I am feeling down and the world is turning against me, I will call out and say, "My God, Lorance, you were right. Please forgive me."
Actually, I wouldn't, but I figured it sounded interesting actually looking like I'd be following your delusion of grandeur. Keep telling yourself, "He'll ask for the help of me and my followers one day" if you want. I'm nice to people who have earned my respect, and lately, you've lost that.

When it comes to Jonalyn, she is one of the most honest (if sometimes painfully blunt) people here. I've already had someone say "If you respect Jona, then I don't respect you." I still regard Jona with a great deal of respect. Jona is a very important friend to both Lady Noelle and me, and know that if there are any problems, she will say something.
If you are Fey, and you know what to be true, then perhaps you also know the fact that if I did ever need anything, I won't give you the gratification of asking you (or your "followers") for help.

Lorance Sneggle,

How verra amusing of thee to attempt to state what my feelings may or may nae be with regard to thee, since I am quite sure, boyo, I hae ne'er expressed anna unto thee. Perhaps thee will may thine usual comical claim that thee hae the gift of being able to venture into another's mind, boyo?

Thou art a most amusing caricature of a military man, Master Sneggle. Far more amusing be yuir statements ast to how thee came by yuir new designation in military rank, boyo. Rest assured, laddie buck, I, for one, were be most amazed were anna military organization to admit thee were among the cadre.

Amusedly,
Jonalyn Starfare.

Master Sneggle,

Rest assured thee provoke little but laughter from me, certes nae such an emotion ast dislike. Yuir little but one of the comedic factors what hae somehow found his way to the basement. What ist e'en more comical be yuir presumptions that I am aware of yuir proclaimed dislike, and what be further hilarious be that ye perhaps actually believe I wouldst care a jot.

Let me enlighten thee, boyo. Were thee ne'er to show thine comical countenance e'er again within the precincts of the basement, tis the only action that might provoke wouldst be the storing away of the pewter mug which bears thine initial.

Jonalyn Starfare.

Laughs herself into a case of hiccups as she peruses Sneggle's missive. Regaining her composure, she tacks a note to the board.

Master Sneggle,

Thee really must consider voluntarily committing yuirself to the Rhydin Asylum. They canst provide thee with a soft room, medication and such which may eventually overcome yuir condition what hast apparently blossomed into a case of full blown delusions.

Either that, or ye may seriously consider having yuir military issue thee some manner of stout helmet since it be patently obvious thee hae taken too manna hits to thine pate.
