What, now I can't ask a question that involved the whole Community on this cork, where an answer could possibly be provided to all that read it at once? I enjoyed the listing of the participants last time, and I was hoping it could be done again. That's all. Why ask a question in private when the question is soemthing involving the whole community? I thought that was the reason this cork even exists.

I don't think you were being told you don't have a right to post something, Cas. However, I think Magnus was trying to say that instead of seeing if any of us had the ability to impart on some knowledge, the best person to ask is the person who is handling it.
The problem was not the fact you asked a question, but it was the actual question itself. If I were to post up here, "Does anyone know if Cas is going to duel this following cycle?" It's a kind of innocent question that's best asked to you personally. Yes, it can constitute as involving the community, because I don't think there should be a baron who holds a ring and then doesn't even duel.
Besides, consider this... If you were to ask Altara privately if she would post the participants, then you know she'd soon enough post it and it would involve the community. If she answers to you privately that she wouldn't, then the rest of the community would notice a couple torches were blown out as they're left in the dark.
