Even though I was not allowed to vote...

I would've stripped Avery of his title. I've no comments about the tournament.

Members of the Community,

As I have said before, I voted to remove Avery for various reasons. I had the same hard time of deciding between hurting a friend and someone I considered myself very Loyal too and looking after the well-being of the Sport. I know not where Avery is and I wish I did, that is what bothers me the most..he could be dead or seriously injured for all we know and there are some Barons who are merely clamoring for a chance to get their hands on the title.

I am a Baron to serve the Community, and at this point in time, the Community needs a role-model and Supreme Duelist. Personal feelings led me to believe Avery would feel the same. I am personal angry with the idea of not letting the new Baron's participate, but 2 have already stated their intent not to participate.

For those that wish to know, I plan to enter the Tournament. I do not know if I am ready to assume such a position as that of Overlord, but I know that I am damn ready and willing to prevent some members of the Council who are participating from becoming Overlord as I believe that is what they meant to do since this whole ordeal started. Should I win the Title, I shall do my best to restore somewhat of an honorable atmosphere to the Arena. I wish all
my fellow Council members luck..

Community,

The Baron's Tournament has been scheduled for this upcoming Sunday and Monday evenings, beginning at 8:00. The statements that some Barons attempted to block the winners of the Warlord's Tournament from entering the Baron's Tournament is true. I will not allow this, therefore all 13 Barons are eligible to participate.

I would like to know which Barons attempted to prevent other Barons from entering the tourney. Hopefully they have the courage to step up and admit to backing such a horrible suggestion.

Should you win the title we're all going to die in an instant thunderous headache. Perhaps you'll do us a favor. Anything is better than you being Overlord, so perhaps death is a refreshing thought.

I'd be the best Overlord. Really.

Tossing kisses and unsure if he is serious or not,

Drey,

Of course you'd be the best Overlord, sheesh I don't know what I was thinking. Maybe I should just resign and let you take over doing everything for the Community, isn't that what everyone wants anyway? Of course it is..don't listen to all of them, just because no one else enjoys you being in a 20 mile radius of them doesn't mean you couldn't do it..Oh wait, that doesn't make sense..

Joking?....'Nuff Said

"Tossing kisses and unsure if he is serious or not..."

Truly tragic. At least I know whether I am. Shouldn't the Overlord be able to tell when he's joking, hmm?

Simply amazing how the Barons who tried to keep out the Warlord's Tournament winners apologize when public opinion turns against them like a great tidal wave. Simply amazing.

Cas,

In all fairness, what were they to do otherwise? Their choices were to (a) remain silent, in which case they imply continued agreement with that stance, (b) Come out and say that they continue to believe in that stance or (c) apologize for a poor decision.

While the apologies may not be whole hearted, as least in those cases we believe to be truthful there is a demonstrated understanding of the mistake and a desire to correct it.

Point is, they had little choice on how to reply here if they had actually changed their minds. If you believe them to be lying, then go ahead and say so rather than making the implication based on a situational dependency.

Addressed to the Community,

Although I only recently won my ring, I would like to add my opinion on the matter, if it is not too late. The tournament is a good idea, and I do agree with it, but in my opinion, I would like to see one change.
Drey challenged Avery, and he should have the shot at the Overlord title because he got the challenge in. Now, with the tournament, it gives each Baron a chance. The one change I would like to see is in giving Drey the challenge. To do this, the Barons in the tournament would duel and one would win. Then this winner would duel Drey in one match or a best of three (I haven't thought that far) and the winner of those two would be Overlord. This
would give Drey the fair chance he deserves for being the one to challenge, plus it would give the other Barons a shot at the crown. Just the opinion of one man.

Submitted for all,

Leo,
Drey wrote a letter to the council saying the reason he challenged was, "I want to duel Avery, and only Avery." Therefore, the method you just mentioned wouldn't make much sense, because Drey didn't want to be Overlord, but he wanted to duel Avery.

This strikes me as interesting, and has made me curious.

If Drey only wanted to duel Avery, and he didn't really want the Overlord Title, why did he have to press a challenge?

After all, Anyone can duel Anyone at any given time. Whether a practice match, or a regular duel. A regular duel on a regular night would be official, as well.

If all Drey wanted to do was duel Avery, and didn't want the title, wouldn't it have saved a whole lot of trouble and effort if there was no challenge pressed, and the match handled another way?

Just curious, and for once, not being cynical,
