I am still attempting to discover a link between what I said and what you said. How does my ability, or lack there of in your blind eyes, to keep my word have anything to do with casting judgements?
It is truely humorous how far you will reach afield to attempt an insult... no matter how poorly thought-out the insult so oft is.

So what if he didn't show face or anything that you said? He can say whatever the hell he wants. Even if you've never seen him in your life. Or even If he isn't on the standings or anything, he's a member of this community. Why? Because I said so. And because this isn't a private place so anybody can be part of the DoS without any kind of stupid citizenship, or that crap you were talking about. Who cares? Andrew, or whoever you were, keep on talkin'

Well of course he can say whatever he wants. His words just mean less than horse feces. You know what those are, Drey, the same thing you ooze of.

So just because you don't know who he is, makes his words automatically nothing?
Never thought you were one to categorize.
And c'mon, I haven't even insulted you, and you are trying oh so desperately to start something. By the way, you're failing miserably I must say. His words mean more to me than yours, and that's for sure.

Drey,
I believe Rix's point is dat Andrew Pyre has not frequented our basement arena, so he has no basis fer his insults. Talking about somethin' one has no experience of does make one's words nothing. Perhaps if Andrew Pyre knew Jonalyn, or even DoS, well enough we might actually give his words some weight. I could claim dat Drey Starke is a murderous cancer on society, one who preys on da weak and mooches off da rich. However, if I had never met
Drey Starke and did not know him, few would pay my words any heed.
I hope I do not have ta delve inta further examples ta make my point clear ta ya.

One would assume he has garnered his opinion of Jonalyn from her words on this very chunk of cork.

That's something Jonalyn would say to me and that is probably why Andrew doesn't like her. Reading her filth everyday gives me a headache. She's just a bad role-model.
Not that I'm a good role-model.

If he has, Sidartha, he proves my point even moreso.
If a man publically condemns someone evil or unpopular, no one believes da man ta be evil himself. How well does Andrew know ya, Drake, or anyone Jonalyn fights with? He assumes Jonalyn speaks ill towards others without any motivation other dan she enjoys it. Perhaps he would do well ta know da history between da people bickering on our "chuck of cork".
If Andrew goes strictly by what he reads, without knowing who or why it was written, I won't even have ta bother with future missives he leaves. I can simply ignore 'em and consider it more presumptuous drivel.

Baron Oakenshield.
You write: "He assumes Jonalyn speaks ill towards others without any motivation other dan she enjoys it."
I have read Jonalyn's scathing comments about people who had only posted that they believed people should respect each other more.
I have heard her cast vile epithets at, and make crude comments about, people who had never met her before in their lives.
I have witnessed her treating people with respect and even friendship one day, then with disrespect and dishonor only days later.
I have been told by a trusted source that she has viewed newcomers to the Duel of Swords with thinly veiled contempt... and in one particular case, instant hostility.
Even if this man Pyre is operating upon an assumption, it is clearly a correct one.

About six or seven years ago, Baph brought me to the basement and introduced me to Jona. She was immediately friendly and helped me to understand what was going on. Over the past six or seven years, I have watched her many times do the same thing for other newcomers. I've never seen her hesitate once in helping a newcomer as long as the person had respect for the sport and respect for the people in it.
The point is that this man doesn't know these types of things because he can't get an accurate picture of the community purely by reading about it.

When I showed up in the arena 4 years ago I was very much alone. I made friends with two people my first night here. One of those friends was Jonalyn. Quickly, Jona befriended me and helped me learn about this place, and the people here. Since that time we've disagreed on a great deal, and neither has any qualms about telling the other when there is a disagreement.... but I've never had her turn on me. Never. I've never seen Jona turn on anyone
that she considers a friend, either.
The only case that I recall where Jona, and most everyone here for that matter, treated any newcomer with almost instant hostility is in the case of Methouse.... and I think that anyone here during that time period can understand why. He showed up here with no repect for anyone or anything. He was loudmouthed, foul and truly worthy of dislike. Many of us tried to teach him something about the arena and it's traditions. We spoke out in his defense,
stating that he was new to our ways, and he just needed more time. I'm afraid that I was one of those fools. He showed very little but disrespect and dishonour throughout his time here, and in spite of being given numerous chances to learn, in spite of many of trying to teach him the traditions and history, in spite of all this and more...... he simply continued to become more disrespectful and dishonourable. I think that it's quite safe to say
that near the end most everyone felt hostility and near contempt for the man. Even me.

Drakewyn,
I would tend to disagree. I was in the arena for less than a week when I met Jonalyn. She was very kind to me even though I was new. She introduced me to others, told me of the Barons and Overlord, and basically made my visits pleasurable. Perhaps you should have witnessed what your trusted source had said before you accused Jona of these deeds.
