Special Tournament

Duelists,

To fill the vacancy of the Eleventh Baron's Ring, the Arena will soon be hosting a special mid-cycle tournament. The eventual winner of this tournament shall gain the Baron's ring. Rather than a normal tournament, however, this one shall be different.

This tournament, scheduled for Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9, will be a special team tournament. There will be 16 two-man teams involved. Some of the rules for this tournament are as follows:

1. There will be only one duelist per team allowed in the ring during the match.
2. Whenever one duelist is eliminated, that team is defeated.
3. It will be a single-elimination tournament.
4. First round pairings will be randomly selected prior to the start of the tournament.
5. The team that wins the tournament will enter a final round. In this final round, the two duelists on the team will face each other in a Best of Three contest. The winner is the new Baron.

More rules shall be posted in the near future, although those are the major points. Each team must have at least one duelist that has the rank of Warlord. This tournament is open to all ranks, excluding Barons and the Overlord.

Registration begins tonight, June 26, at precisely two hours before midnight. The first sixteen teams to register will be entered, while those after will be placed on a standby list. If both duelists for a team are not present at the start of the tournament, that team will be disqualified, and replaced with the first standby team available.

Well, now, Mister Ray, as you seem fond of calling yourself these days, I must say it's hard to take you very seriously when you show up every one and a half months and say "Everyone here sucks, I'm still the greatest" and disappear again for another month and a half.

I'll take "pimply faced" as a compliment, since most people who try to insult me call me old, not young. I guess being around only for a few days every six weeks, though, you wouldn't really notice that. But why should you? I can tell your time is better used crafting sterling examples of wit like the aforementioned one.

If only you knew how absurd you sounded, returning only to insult the "clientele" you consider beneath you anyway. Tell me, Mister Ray, if we are not worth your time, why do you even bother showing up to insult us?

Honestly, if we mean enough to you to insult, you could at least use those six weeks away to come up with something better.
