Results of the Challenge for the 12th

Ladies and Gentlemen!

Upon the sixth day of this month, I was requested to officiate the challenge between Ellisa Morgan unto Cassius Maximus. The Overlady Taylara was present during the time of the challenge, but Cassius stated before the patrons of the Arena there will be no intercession. I did not hear Taylara try to press intercession, so I moved on with the challenge, which took place in the Arena during the
dueling hours.

The Baron Cassius Maximus used Imperator to duel for the honor of Laylla Hellstorm Maximus, who is sick; Drake seconded him. The banner he dueld under was Traditional standard of the Roman Empire, that of a double-headed eagle holding bundles of arrows in it's clutches, surrounded by a half-circle of olive wreath, with the Latin letters "S P Q R" inscribed in shining gold at the bottom.

The Warlady Ellisa Morgan dueled for the honor of Nova, under the banner of a silver dragon in a black field. She was seconded by Seregill and Fandral Kurgan, as she was unsure if Seregill would be able to attend to grace her with his presence.

The match began with a trade of cuts, marking one of the many times these two would be tied in the match. The two then took a quick break, before Cassius gained the lead by deflecting a cut. The following two rounds were exchanges of steps into waiting cuts, with the score being tied at 2-2 and then Cas retaking the lead 3-2.

After another break, Ellisa tied it up again by deflecting the thrust, only to have Cas take the lead again by bringing a high parry against her cut. After another pause, Ellisa tied it up with a couple of parries, only to cut high above the parry of Cas for the winning point. The final score was 5-4 in favor of Ellisa Morgan after 12 rounds.

The score was tied 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, and 4-4 for at least one round in the match, and save for the last one, Cas took the lead.

Ellisa declared herself renegade to Overlady Taylara.

I would like to thank Var for overseeing the match, and extend those thanks to Cassius. He proved my assertions correct in every manner, as it was a challenging and honorable match.

For those that cheered for me, thank you for your support, these days with the rust on my blades I can use every ounce of good luck.

And lastly, to my Seconds, and my Lord of Honor, for I firmly believe that such honored participants in challenge matches can make or break my attitude, and I could have done no better than the gentlemen that so kindly stood in my corner.
