((OOC Note: I posted this once before, but it doesn't seem to have come up. So, here goes again. =) ))::a high gloss poster is put up on the Message Board with "Slugger's Tourney" written in large metallic letters. Underneath, is a list of round by round results from the tourney held on August 22.::In the most brutal tourney in Outback history, 8 competitors fought through 6 rounds with no breaks to earn the Iron Fist trophy.Before the tourney began, Luna Mask and Lord TEK were unable to attend and were replaced by late entrants; Walker and Jen.Round 1 The opening round was fast and furious and ended with Bane, Jen, Roland and Walker winning with Matt, Goon, Jaycy and Cris with their backs against the wall.Round 2It was an early evening for Cris and Matt, as both lost their second round matches and were eliminated from the contest. Bane and Walker were able to remain unbeaten, while the rest held steady at 1-1.Round 3After staving off elimination for a round, both Jaycy and Goon fell to the wayside. Bane defeated Walker to remain the only undefeated dueler. Round 4With only 4 duelers remaining, it was CRUNCH time. Bane was able to outlast Jen, while Roland handed Walker his second straight loss. This set up out final with an undefeated Bane facing Roland.Round 5Bane and Roland had faced off in Round 2, with Bane pulling out the win. Now, Roland had to beat Bane twice to claim the title. He took the first step by beating Bane soundly in round 5. Round 6 In the final round of the tourney, Bane and Roland, both exhausted from a night of constant dueling, went toe to toe in true Slugger fashion. In the end, Bane remained standing to claim the championship!Everyone be sure to congratulate Bane for a well fought and won tourney.
