Intent of Challenge

To Baron of the 6th Jeffery Oakenshield and the Duel of Swords Community,

This is my INTENT to challenge the Baron of the 6th Jeffrey Oakenshield. I have gained my peer wins and await the next standings to press. Next Thursday, when the Standings are posted I will press fromal challenge.

The reason I post this intent to challenge paper is the fact that not long ago there was a controversy over letting the people of the community know what is going on in the rings. I believe whole-heartedly in letting the community know about important matters that deal with the Dueling Community. This is to let the comunnity know of my plans.

This is my intent to inform Daryl he smells like poorly aged cabbage, and that I hope he loses, preferably in a shutout. I will do so formally once challenge is issued.

Sir Kyle.

As you have no doubt already noticed... though the community claims a desire to be kept informed, this is only so they may have fresh fodder for their acts of ridicule and derision.
To most of these people, a letter of intent is simply a waste of time... no matter how honorable or respectful it's intent.
In fact, I have been told upon three occasions that one should not have issued a letter of intent, as all it does is make others desire to challenge one's target... simply to prevent your challenge from going through.

Given that sort of attitude, I can only guess that people prefer everyone to keep their intentions secret until the last possible moment.

Good luck in your future endevours... though, as I consider both yourself and Baron Oakenshield my friends, I wish you both luck in the ensuing match.

Drake,
I knew that my letter of intent was going to get ridacule as well as insults. Trust me, I took that into effect. It doesn't matter to me if they insult me for doing what the community wants. They asked for it...let them have it.

As for the others challenging after I put my intent up. So be it.
