Zen,
The entire matter behind why someone should or shouldn't two step is an issue that has reasons that can't convince you. It's not a matter of moral reasons, it's a matter of personal preference.
The difference though, is while you have to go through two challenges to get the Overlord title, you really have nothing to lose (save for the shot of challenging for the Overlord for the rest of that cycle) if you happen to not gain the Overlord title.
Again, why don't I challenge for a title I don't like? Again, I personally do not want to challenge someone if it's for a title or ring I do not wish to hold. You yourself have challenged for the fourth ring because you considered it "yours." If there were other people on the council you disliked more, then you would understand what I mean. If not, then my reasons shall remain an enigma.

In this case I would have to agree with Gnort...the community doesn't deserve to have that reason spoken. The way i feel about it is that no one deserves to hear the reason of the challenge...I just think its the honorable thing to do. In a position of leadership we want an honorable person to be there..if they were to challenge out of spite or vengence then thats not too honorable a person and I personally wouldn't
want that kind of person leading the DoS. Thats my opinion

Understood, Var. Personal preference is oftentimes best left to those who hold it. And as long as no criticism and judgment is levied in an issue that is, as you say, not an issue of moral reasons, I have no problem with it.
Personally, I believe that the reason that, as you say, you (now speaking of the generic you) may have "nothing to lose" is incorrect, because you not only risked your right to challenge in the first place, you earned the Baron's ring as well.

If the challenger is not an honorable person to begin with, Daryl, then it is highly unlikely he or she will admit to challenging out of spite; it is easier to look good and simply lie.
Of course, honor is a matter of one's own personal beliefs (though I've never met a person who considered the use of deceit honorable).

In the interests of public service I offer a lukewarm wish that the current Overlord retain her title. I perceive her as just a bit more humane.

This is by far and away the most rediculous thing I have ever read upon these boards. Ellisa is hot, simple as that. All I need is to find E and somehow dye her hair red. Then it will be all beans and butter.

My Dear Sir,
If I read your missive correctly you have in your most fragrant fashion reduced the Morgan lady to little more then a strumpet. Indeed, it appears you would even go so far as to change her looks and manners. You do compliment her with faint praise indeed.
In any case, I do believe the lady finds you unatractive and a boor to boot so it would seem you infantile wishes of her are little more then a schoolboy fantasy.
Your humble servant,
Andrew Pyre

Nice to know our current Overlord has the support of perverts and the feeble-minded. After all, the company you keep says a lot about you.
After Taylara became Overlord, I wondered why she suddenly had so many renegades. The past seventy-two hours have made a convincing argument as to why: She is immune to logic, forming opinions and then standing by them regardless of the rational reasons for otherwise.
She is a hypocrite, condemning others for actions she conveniently forgets she has taken herself.
She attempts to act, or at least sound, sanctimonious in an attempt to gloss over her logic impairment and hypocrisy.
It is rare that I post my thoughts on a challenge match, because it is a practice I find clutters the board with information we could all find out by showing up. (i.e. Who will be rooting for whom.) In this case, I make the exception. We must have a clear-thinking, rational Overlord posthaste.
So, Captain Ellisa Morgan, do everything in your power to assure this outcome.

Ariadne also refused her intercession, but she still pressed on.
