It's all set.. Thin lips curled into a dark smile, his plans coming together nicely. All the pawns were playing their roles beautifully. As long as he swore his fealty to the egomaniac in charge, he need not fear being chased by those blasted creations of science they were always spitting out. The warrioress he had commissioned for the job was perfect- similar views to his regarding the Opals; a headstrong,
get-things-done attitude; and best of all, information that was useless to himself proved the only payment she needed.

No doubt she had friends, one of her charms could not avoid it. Her style suggested that she could easily convince them to do things for her. In retrospect, he thought, this could end up even more fruitful than expected.

Silently, her deep blue eyes glared at the glowing screen before her. The attempt had fully failed; ShadoWeaver would not be hers, at least not as long as Matthew Simon held it. That much had been made clear. Blatantly, inwardly, she blamed the fact he was married on her inability to charm him into a deal.

"His wife must be quite a woman.. no doubt the children keep them together as well. Papa always said the best solution to a problem was to remove it entirely."

Her cynical smile shone brightly against the warm computer light. She remained hesitant to carry through with such a plan, however; already fighting to keep her movements unnoticed by the company heads, the anger of one with superb technological advantages was not something she wished to risk dealing with as well. He would be challenged at week's end; the prospective elven holder's profile showed a higher likelihood of success if a similar attempt
at obtaining the Opal was made. Sitting back, she relaxed, prepared to wait and see if the problem would resolve itself.
