My Dear Elijah,
Why you would want to resort to blatantly misappropriating my term of endearment for others and use it to address me cause me no end of distress. Please find your own terms of address. While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery I suspect that flattery is now what you had in mind.
<<My unwarranted attacks upon Taylara? This coming from a person who has never dueled according to the lists of records of this venue. This from a person who has never tried what so many others who have posted upon this corkboard have atleast tried. This from a person who hasn't had to experience the things we as duelers have gone through. This from someone who is an outsider who judges those who he can not possibly understand because he hasn't
even tried to experience what us duelers go through.>>
hmmmm......let me see...my nemesis is Jonalyn, I am not aware of her doing much in the line of fighting in the DoS other then with her words. Are you suggesting she is also an outsider of sorts? As for judging people I judge them by their written words. Are you denying you wrote those poisonous missives? To judge by the spoken word is to err as the words can be lost to meaning. The written word is far more reliable don't you agree?
<< Andrew Pyre, you are the fool, you are the idiot, you are the one who does not belong here and who's words do not hold any merit here. You are a pestilence to this community, an alien virus trying to infect our harmony of exsistence.>>
Harmony of existence? Sir, you make me laugh the very atmosphere of the arena is charged with conflict. Dirty deeds are done dirt cheap and in many cases for less then a pittance.
<< I have dueled here over 7 years, and seen every Overlord who has held their title during their reign, except for the very first and second, Gondar, and Me Monk. I have witnessed almost every different type of event that can happen around the titles of this sport, including being apart of many of those events.>>
My word, did you also trudge back and forth to your schooling through the snow, half-clothed for five miles uphill both ways?
<<While I have not agreed with many things that many title holders have done in the past, what Tayalara has done is by far the worst disrespect of her title and of a Loyal Baron in the history of this sport. And yet she further continues to tarnish what dignity there is in the crown of Supreme Dueler of Swords, by contradicting herself in her explanations of her actions. As someone who loves this sport and the history of this place, I find my
attacks upon the current Overlord very much warranted. Whereas I found your comments at all about this community since you are not a member of this community, completely unwarranted and unwelcomed.>>
Who pray tell has denied you your opportunity to voice your opinion? You have done so rather stridently all throughout your various missives. Methinks you protest too much and over too little. I am a member of the community whether you find that fact palatable or not. I am seldom unwarranted and as for being unwelcome that is far from the truth. Perhaps some of your friends may chose to enlighten you, perhaps not.
<<I suggest the rest of the dueling community cease to reply to this outsider and consider him as not even existing, and hopefully like any other loser if ignored, will simply go away when he realizes no one cares what he has to say anymore.>>
Your suggestion has been dully noted, but only time will tell if you are followed blindly into your lemming like behavior or whether the citizens of this fair community elect to follow their own will.
You have the markings of a sick and desparate man. Your hatred of Tay and Ariadne has blinded you to reality. Perhaps you need the offices of a good cleric. I am sure I could provide you a name or two.
Your humble servant,
Andrew Pyre

My Dear G,
What am I to do with you? Your missives become shorter and shorter, soon you will be reduced to a few melancholy nouns, a verb or two and the occasional pronoun.
Please hold up your end of this correspondence. I grow tired of carrying you.

Elijah has been sick and desperate in the past, yes. Maybe he still is, maybe not. I don't know, I haven't really seen him since his return except to call a couple of duels for him. However, I think it is rather fallacious reasoning to assign hatred as his motive for disapproving of someone's actions. Perhaps he disapproves of their actions because he believes them to be in the wrong in this instance? Perhaps any personal rancour he feels toward
them is rooted in his disapproval of their actions rather than vice versa? Perhaps he feels no personal rancour towards them at all and only finds their behaviour objectionable?
I could be wrong, and I am sure that E will correct me if I am, but it seems to me that claiming Elijah objects to Tay and Ariadne's handling of this matter because he personally dislikes them would be putting the cart before the horse. Much like syaing so many of us think you are a fool because we dislike you. It might be more correct to say we dislike you because we think you are a fool. You see how that works?

My dear person of impressive titles,
Your reasoning is interesting, a bit skewed towards self-interest but considering your personal bent not unexpected. All in all, not a bad job of attempting to gloss over the obvious inaccuracies.
I stand by my statements about Elijah. You can defend him all you wish, but sooner or later the decay will gag you.
Personally I think many of you have it in for Tay and Ariadne because as one of your noble souls put it. "mere women Well, they are succeeding at your own game. I think many of the Warlords and Barons fear what may happen if the ladies either take over the balance of the Baronial rings or influence them to such an extent that the power shifts. Perhaps one day the may find themselves on the outside looking in. That would be most amusing.

Duc Percival Marchand de Clermont,
Ast be yuir wont, thou hast thine information somewhat skewed. Tis th' ignorant, ignoble wench, Ariadne Angeles wh' hae ta temerity ta present 'erself ast retainer unta th' Baron Unagi Miyamoto. One canst do ought bu' ponder ta reasons ta Baron wouldst permit such ast th' wench ta continue ta dis'onor 'is name.
Tis vastly amusin' ta peruse ta various jottin' wi' regard ta Ariadne Angeles, fore in th' at nae time th' eve didst she display anna sign th' she wast discontent wi' ta Overlord. One may presume merely by observance th' Ariadne Angeles nae only approved ta Overlord's choice ta intercede bu' welcomed it. One needs only consider ta verra public statement by Ariadne th' she didst intend ta return ta Second ta th' ranks 'o Loyal ta opine th' she mos'
assuredly wast cognizant aforehand 'o ta Overlord's intent ta intercede an' mos' assuredly approved. Taylara Locklorn Tyree hast stated 'er friendship fer th' wench an' certes tis nae accountin' fer ta reasons save perhaps ta cliche, birds 'o a feather. Ta only one wh' wast 'eard ta state th' Ariadne hae refused ta Overlord ta right ta intercede wast ta Overlord 'erself. If'n Ariadne Angeles disapproved 'o ta deed, she assuredly dinna make anna

Ta Second Ring currently resides in ta possession 'o a lackwitted sycophant 'o ta equally lackwitted Overlord. Tis a sad commentary 'pon th' ancient sport th' ta mantle hast fallen inta th' 'ands o' such ast Taylara Locklorn Tyree ta further tarnish an' taint ta title wh' at one time wast 'eld by such ast ta Lady Amaltea thu-Darelir, ta lady Vixxenish, ta gran' Siera 'o Redwin an' ta fair Lady Alais d' Nitesong Sidhe.
One needs bu' witness ta witless, doltish, rabble wh' gives lip service unta Taylara ta understand th' reason ta ancient bell o'er ta bar so oft resounds wi' its brass tones. Tis well th' ta smiths be well paid an' on retainer ast ta stock 'o pewter mugs needs mus' be oft replenished.

What did you not understand of my last posting?
See reason Number 1 of that.

For the record, I don't hate Adriane or Taylara, and in fact I believe I haven't even said anything bad about Adriane. I have only called into question the integrity of Taylara and her actions while being the holder of the crown for supreme dueler of this sport.

My Dear Elijah,
It is easy to make mistakes in haste and repent in leisure. Perhaps you should reread your post where you attempted to incite mob rule against the Overlord. Your words are there. Are they not your bond? By the way, what record is it you speak of?

My Dear Jonalyn,
Your vicious attacks on the character of Ariadne and Tay are reminiscent of the actions of an asp. A mean-spirited reptile feared by many and loved by none. To attack them publically is to attack me and for that reason I choose to respond. Left to my own devices I would rather not deal with you. It is too much like wrestling a pig in the mud. We both get dirty, but the pig enjoys it.
Your near incoherent rages were they not so pointless and ugly would make you an object of pity in many places. Here in our fair community you have displayed your bile on so many public occasions as to offend the sensibilities of many.
I on the other hand find you a laughable wretch who just now rears her blighted countenance to once more infect the air with pestilence.
At least while you were silent you did not betray your foolishness in public.
Your humble servant,
Andrew Pyre

My Dear G,
What is there too understand? Many things, the universe is full of marvels and objects of great interest. Closer to home I wonder why it is that you, who I once considered an honorable man have allied yourself with the forces of destruction.
If the jackals succeed in removing Ariadne and Tay who will they replace them with? By your own statements there is not a lot to chose from in the existing crop of Barons. So who did you have in mind? Do you aspire to the throne or do you wish to bring it crashing down? What would rise from it's ashes?
I do share one trait with Jonalyn in that I chose to not fight in the DoS. It would be a mistake to assume that I can not. If asked by Ariadne or Tay I will fight. Who do you fight for?

Servant,
I am allied with very few. And I have yet to ally myself with any "force of destruction." Whether or not you consider me an honorable man is none of my concern, that is your concern. I know where I stand, and where I stand is where I choose. You imply with that statement that I am dishonorable because I choose to stand against those whom I deem unworthy of title holding in this great sport. I submit to you that if I did Not care in some way for
this sport, would I be so offended by people I deem unworthy holding title? Is that not in itself, a form of honor? Actually, I do not want you to answer that. So do not.
Who would I replace them with? Funny you should mention that, as wheels are in motion to ensure honorable title holders. Respectable title holders. Clear thinking title holders. Above all else, title holders who do not have the capability to give me an intense migraine headache due to frustrations of attempting over and over to explain things that are incredibly obvious to even the most clueless. I dislike having to talk to people and try to
explain things to them as if I was, for lack of a better comparison, in an intellectual theological discussion of numerous gods in respect to each individual culture, race, and breed of person and individualities of people from this realm compared to each other, and having to talk down in order to allow a 2 year old to understand what I am saying.
What's the point to that? I'll explain and use small words to ensure your understanding.
Idiots and childminds do not deserve to hold titles.
In closing, you ask who do I fight for.
Let me just say...
You can ask.
G
Oh, and I was bored and not tired. That is the only reason for this lengthy response.
