Council Decision: Concerning the Sixth

Post by DoS Archive » Tue Nov 02, 2004 6:22 pm

To the DoS Community and Officials:
The Council was approached to rule on the events surrounding the Challenge for the Sixth Baronial Ring currently held by Baron Oakenshield. The challenge was to take place on the Battlefield, which due to ill tending and harsh conditions was deemed unsafe for dueler and patron alike.
Baron Oakenshield holds a deep commitment to tradition and personal achievements surrounding the Battlefield and was steadfast in his wish to defend at that location. When informed that Turi would not be permitted to officiate the challenge if held on the Battlefield she offered the option to relocate to another area or suggested requesting an extension from the Standings Keeper until a site could be agreed upon. Due to time restraints, Warlord
Kyle's wishes were to seek relocation and complete the task at hand as they were both available on the day and time agreed upon.
By a majority vote, the Council has decided that Baron Oakenshield should not stand in forfeit. The challenge for the Sixth shall be rescheduled at a time agreeable to Warlord Kyle and Baron Oakenshield at their earliest convenience. Most members of the council agreed that this situation should have been handled by the parties involved.

Taylara Locklorn Tyree,

Tis I offer thee mine gratitude for making known the Council's decision ast well ast the tally of the voting. I do request of thee, Overlord, that thee make known thine thoughts upon the matter. Tis ast well I do notice the silence of certain of the Barons in nae making known unto the community at large their decision in the matter.

Fie, for it be a dismal day when those wh' do sit upon the Council wouldst withhold their decisions and comments from the public. Be it now that those of title within this ancient blood sport fear to make known their stance in this matter?

Rescheduling was the obvious choice in the matter.

I voted for a reschedule, in case that message was not relayed in any of my previous posts.

Well, I thought I made it clear what I stood for. But for those of you who may have missed original post, I stated that I wanted a reschedule.

Bah, all the retarded dwarf had to do was move the match indoors. Instead he complained and whined and never even proceeded indoors.

Woulda saved a whole lotta discussin' and mopin'.

I chose not to vote due to the fact that I was away from Rhydin the past week and had no knowledge of the event besides what I read in letters I recieved about it. Therefore, I really didn't feel as though I had enough knowledge of the situation to properly vote on it.

To the members of the community,

I voted for the reschedule with the hope that the gentlemen involved will settle this matter on their own... and in a ring.

My Dear Captain Morgan,

I was somewhat surprised to see your posting as I had expected your crushing defeat at the hands of Taylara would have sent you slinking out of town on the next tide.

One of your obnoxious retainers a certain Cas Maxim attempted to assault me at the concluision of the match. The fool was far too slow to be effective and was easily avoided. However, he is your lap dog and I hold you responsible for his actions Eventually we will settle this score in my fashion, unless one closer to you cracks and does it of their own will.

Your humble servant,

Andrew Pyre

Mr. Andrew Pyre,

I am quite upset that you forget to include me in your missive to Ellisa, for I was also assaulting you after the match. As I recall, your confrontation was not "easily" avoided and I remember you rushing out as soon as Cas began to speak and I joined in. Cas is not the "lap dog" of Ellisa, just a friend. And friends protect each other. But, since you don't have very many, I wouldn't imagine that your manners would mirror those of others.
For future reference, if you're gonna put Cas down by saying, "The fool was far too slow to be effective," grabs your balls and say it to his face and don't whine to Ellisa about it just because you she is your enemy. It's bad form. Have a good one.
