"Can he hear us?"

"No, sir. His conscious mind is devoid of action presently."

"Very well. Results?"

"Zero wins, three losses. One was to the new Diamond, although the defeat was far worse than anticipated. The other opponents very likely would have been beaten any other day, but his attempts were unsuccessful tonight, for some reason."

"Competitiveness?"

"He tried, as always. However, it appeared as though some sort of.. lock, I suppose would be the best word.. appeared between his instinctive core and motor functions. His actions, save for the first half of his final duel, were far from the awkward fluidness he normally displays."

"Have you determined the chance of the alterations being responsible?"

"Approximately 89.6% likely that the alterations were fully or partially responsible. Highly doubtful that he simply had a "bad day", despite his poor mid-week record in the past."

"The CEO will not be pleased. You have modifications prepared?"

"Yes, sir."

"I would suggest they be effected in short order. Moreover, I would suggest they be made to work. Take the time necessary, if you want your hide intact, to do the job right. The experimental stage is over- the time to fix our mistakes is at hand. Failure is no longer an option. Are we clear?"

"Yes, sir."
