Lords and Ladies,
one and all. This the 1st night of the 9th month I did serve as official for the duel between the Baroness, Ariadne Angeles and the Warlord Magnus Eques for the right to wear the ring of the Second
The crowd was light but vocal, they jeered the Baroness at every opportunity and it seems they were rewarded for their efforts. The Warlord bested the Baroness in 7 quick rounds and stands renegade to the crown
Below are the round by round descriptions
Ariadne Angeles Magnus Eques
1) High Cut Fancy Lateral Parry
2) Thrust Fancy Circlular Parry
3) Fancy Circular Parry Low cut
4) Low Cut Fancy Sidestep
5) Fancy Lat parry Low Cut
6) Low Cut Thrust
7) Fancy Sidestep Low Cut
Magnus Eques did win the match 5-2 in 7 rounds.
Witnessed this First day of September in the Basement Annex

About time. Now my reasons to come out of retirement are lessened.

Good job Mags,
That'll teach her some respect, hopefully. Or better yet, mayhaps she'll just disappear. Either way, well done. I hope your reign is long and prosperous, a complete opposite of the former Bearer of the Second.

One more thing I'm curious about...
Where was Taylara for this challenge..this was one of her loyal Baron's right? Odd that she wasn't in attendence....

Gimz.
I can recall a number of Loyal Barons who fought Challenges without their Overlord in attendance.
It is more than likely that some personal or family matter came up that could not be set aside.
Additionally, given the hasty arrangement of time and place, it is possible that she did not even receive notification of the match in time to come.
I do hope that you do not assume a lack of support or some other such negative connotation to her not being at the match. Such an assumption would be beneath you, I hope... therefore the question itself is meaningless. Correct?

There now, who could have possibly enjoyed a stripping/championing event over this?

And we are supposed to thank the baron's council for this, Deluthan? I'm sorry, but I don't feel the council did the community a favor by voting for a rematch. I'd prefer her to be stripped of title by principle.
In either case, congratulations, Magnus. Glad to see you successful.

It's obvious the Overlord is a coward who didn't want to face the crowds massing against her and her recent Baroness, to show her any support. She must have figured since she couldn't Interceede, then why bother showing up if she couldn't steel the show for herself or do something to protect her crown. Some loyalty, not even there to cheer for
her Baroness in such hard times, yet when she could do something in the challenge she had no problems showing up and taking the spotlight.

No, Var, but it would have been a crime if this duel never took place.

How exactly would it have been a crime Deluthan? Magnus made it quite clear his objective was ta remove Ariadne as a baroness, which is why he called ta have her stripped. So, he wouldn't have minded.
As fer denying all da present spectators at da challenge duel, I highly doubt it was so stupendous as ta go far beyond any duel ever witnessed.
So, again, how exactly would it have been a crime?
