From: hostdfcpoison@aol.com (HOST DFC Poison)

It is wi' a sad note ta say that this eve's O'erlord challenge was indeed an eventful scene.
The Challenger by rights o' a flawless win in the Warlord's Tourney...Daegarth Mithmellon, didst so press challenge to Taylara Locklorn Tyree on this eve o' the 10th o' the 9th month.
Taylara did so duel fer the 'onor o' the challenger Daegarth. Nae a Lord o' 'onor fer the lass . Secondin' fer 'er stood Unagi Miyamoto, in what was ta be an absolute choice.
Daegarth did 'ave at 'is side Lyon T'Gar as 'is Second. Standin' as 'is Lady o' 'onor the lovely Calenmir Landstar.
Challenge 1..
Daegarth leads out wi' a thrustin' blade but Taylara turns a fancy lateral parry ta stop the assault.
Challenge 2..
A bloody round as Taylara takes melan hi ta cut but Dae is quick as well wi' a lo cut cut ta 'er shins.
Challenge 3..
A turn o' the phoenix blade take Dae to a fancy circle parry but Tay is quick ta slash the lad
Challenge 4..
The Shadowlord says nuff! and thrust 'is blade underneath the lass' awfully exposin' hi cut
Score 3-2 Taylara after 4
Challenge 5...
A swift change up as they both seek ta clash low...steel ta steel but nae advance ta score
Challenge 6..
They both seem wary o' the other....Dae steps lithely (fss) back as Tay stoops quickly (fdk) at 'is movement
Challenge 7..
The Phoenix blade strikes lo, slicin' in at the same time that Melan's hi arc strikes true. They both score after that bloody combo
4-3 Taylara after 7
Challenge 8..
They be steppin' ta the same beat..both ta be fancy steppin' round the ring
Challenge 9..
So they seem ta be well matched...Tay once more leaves an openin' wi' that hi cut and Dae takes vantage o' it wi' a thrust o' the phoenix blade
Score stands ta 4 all
Challenge 10..
Taylara opts ta drop ta a quick duck(fdk) but the Shadowlord seeks the win and slices a lo cut inta the lass' shins
Final Score 5-4 Daegarth
As the final o' the duel was announced, an 'onorable duel finely wrought by the two, a sad note filled the air as Taylara ended the night as a warrioress dared in barin' 'er neck to the skilled blade o' Unagi...a ritual known as seppuku. In a final decisive twist..the new O'erlord Daegarth didst state 'is intent ta banish all the current Baron's to Renegade to 'is wishes.

I don't believe an official should report such an act as the one pulled by Taylara. Keep to the duel and the alignments.

Oddly enough, I'm inclined to agree with Lupton and Var on this one.

It's pretty sad. I was there through most of the match. I was impressed with the skill.
However after I left and returned later that eve and discovered what happend...I was both sickened and disgusted.
I am simply appaled that our former Overlordess took such a cowardly way out.

Suicide is not all cowardice, in fact it's often a small part. I would even go so far as to say that it takes some courage to kill oneself, but I wouldn't expect any of you to believe that.

Congrats, Daegarth.
As to Taylara..
Well, suicide is the most cowardly, unimpressive, and pathetic way out for any living being to take.
However, at least she's gone.
But..
This is Rhydin, so you'll excuse me if I don't believe that she is completely gone forever, or care that she's gone for now.

There goes Deluthan, backing anything Taylara in everything she does, no matter how repulsive or stupid it is.

I don't like Taylara, but killing yourself takes some guts.
Not that I respect her for killing herself, but suicide is not always a cowardice road. It would depend on the viewpoint.
Someone remove this idiot from the Seventh ring.
Or me!

I wasn't backing Taylara's actions, in fact I find them quite startling. I was just stating my feelings on the issue.

Daegarth:
Congratulations. Excellent win. Hope you didn't mind that someone had to try to overshadow you (no pun intended) on your second rise to the mantle.
Very impressive.

Leave it to Taylara to demean the memories of those who've *legitimately* lost their lives in the ring by commiting suicide in the ring. It may not be an act of cowardice, but it certainly is an act of selfishness.
May she rot in whatever hell will take her.
As to Daegarth, may your reign be as tormented as you tried to make Dalamar's.
