<< I'll again repeat that my comment doesn't relate to Prudence at all. As you copied for me, my comment is in regards to Seamus's comment about Dalamar's actions that night being self-serving, which I believe to be utterly ridiculous and still have yet to hear from him in specific as to otherwise.>>
You shall hear from me then Sartan,
I did not state that Dalamar actions of that eve were self serving, I claimed then and continue to claim that his intire reign was self serving. When the whole of DoS was tired of his tests and and his interventions, they cried out. I personally beseeched him to retire for the benefit of this community and was looked upon as a fool by the egotistcal man who was the surpreme dueler of the realm. Were he to have heeded my advice, there would have been
a tournament amongst his barons for the title, his record would have remained intact and he would most likely be here today to strut like the peacock he was.
As far as a self sacrifice, I hardy see it as that, merely one more possible defense to add to the truly remarkable record he did establish.Just another feather in the cap of a self centered man who did little or nothing to improve the sport/community he was to lead.

"Quite simply, you and I have differing views on what the Duel of Swords is."
Quite simply, you've again forgotten how to read. I'm disappointed in you.
Allow me to beat it into your skull. I am not issuing my opinion on what the Duel of Swords is. I am explaining to you that a SIGNIFICANT fragment of this community views this as far more than a mere "sport." Whereas I would not deign to judge others based on the importance they place on the rites of this community (with the exception that I will gladly state my disdain for those who don't view them with any level of seriousness at all), you
apparently have no qualms about spitting on the beliefs of someone to whom asking quarter was anathema.
I think I can safely say that my title of Most Arrogant Person in the Multiverse has been forfeited.
"To sacrifice one's life to protect countless others is, in my opinion, a noble act."
Yet, to you, "protecting countless others from the spectre of a drunken, abusive fool as Overlord" isn't noble at all. It pains me to have to repeat this, but since you refuse to comprehend, I must: I don't believe the title of Overlord to be nearly important enough to die over. But others apply more importance to that role, and that is their prerogative. If Dalamar truly felt keeping DeBurgo from the Overlordship was important enough to the
community to die in the attempt, again I say that it's quite insulting for you to impose your view on what this sport is supposed to mean upon that act and, in effect, call the man a selfish fool for doing so.
Regards,
Ian Rex.

I gave you your chance, Jonalyn.
The offer still stands. Duel me.
But I doubt you will. It's not your way to actually do anything, only flap your mouth. Hellfire, you do not even make the effort to write your own posts... trusting in a magic quill to pen the flapping of your forked tongue.
You want to get rid of me? Do it yourself.

Seamus,
Thee an' Ah didst exchange manna a missive so verra long agon. Though thou art assuredly statin' th' truth in thine claim th' thou felt th' Dalamar wouldst bes' serve were 'e ta retire, kindly dinna make such an' all encompassin' statement ast th' ta whole 'o th' Duelin' Community didst cry out agin 'im. Th' ist nae true, sir.
Indeed, th' jackels 'owled mightily fer 'is downfall, sir. Thee chose ta 'onor thine oath ta Rhydin above th' 'o oath 'o loyalty ta yuir leige lord, Seamus, an' fer th' Ah found within thee th' rare spark 'o 'onor. Dinna cast aside th' spark in thine thine vehemence an' pride, laddie. Let nae thine 'otblooded scots temper unleash itself agin a man wh' thou assuredly mus' know wast th' las' ta truly bring 'onor ta th' mantle. Th' brazilian wh'
took thine ring, then went on ta remove Eros de Burgo, for a brief shinin' moment 'eld ta spark wh' hae faded wi' ta loss 'o Dalamar. A wee candle wast ast well lighted durin' ta brief reigns 'o Dexter Montoya an' th' 'o ta oriental only ta be quenched. Avery rose eventually ta th' mantle, only ta be bereft by 'is own loyals 'o th' title.
Remember thine oaths, MacDonnaugh.

"I would not put the self serving actions of your former lover in the same league as Pru"
"I did not state that Dalamar actions of that eve were self serving, I claimed then and continue to claim that his intire reign was self serving."
By what you stated in your original note, it certainly seemed like that's exactly what you were saying. Your opinions on Dalamar's reign are you own, I really could care less about them either way, just as I'm sure you could care less about my own opinion on any number of things.
If your comment was not what I'd read it as, my apologies for the error.
